“Out”

His voice boomed in my ear, sharp and forceful, yanking me out of the small world I’d tried to create, knees pulled up tight against my chest.

I blinked, lifting my head in a haze of confusion. He wasn’t in his seat anymore. My eyes darted around, searching, until they landed on him—standing at my side car door, his gaze hard and unyielding.

“Out” His voice struck again, even colder this time. Every instinct told me to obey, but fear held me still. If I got out of this car, I had no idea what he would do. The thought made my blood run cold, freezing me in place.

“Nova” His tone shifted, low and dangerous, but I couldn’t make myself move. I didn’t dare. I shook my head, pressing tighter into myself, curling into a ball as if that would make me invisible, as if that would protect me from whatever he had planned.

“You're testing me.” He murmured. I felt a shiver travel up my spine, but still, I just shook my head, squeezing my eyes shut, hoping he’d stop.

But he didn’t. Instead, I felt his hands on me, strong and insistent, trying to pry me from my curled-up position. I resisted, holding on with everything I had.

He let out a sigh, and then something changed. I felt his warmth at my neck, the roughness of his breath against my skin. His hands didn’t try to pull me away this time; instead, they wrapped around me, pulling me close, and I froze as he began pressing slow, wet kisses along the sensitive skin of my neck.

“N-no, don’t do that…” I tried to protest, but my voice barely came out, weak and broken. My body betrayed me, muscles melting, tension slipping away. I couldn’t seem to fight it, couldn’t seem to stay strong when he was doing this.

“Xan” I whispered his name, breathless, as his teeth grazed a sensitive spot on my neck. A gasp escaped me when he scooped me up, lifting me out of the car before I even realized what was happening.

“No!” I cried, but it was a helpless sound, swallowed by the night. He didn’t even glance back, just kept walking toward the house with purpose in his stride. I started to scream again, but he stopped me with a look—a deathly glare that made my mouth snap shut.

“Al—” I tried to speak, desperate to stop this, but then his hand came down on my ass, a sharp slap that made me yelp and left my words strangled.

My face flushed with both embarrassment and fear as he carried me, up the steps, into his room. I couldn’t believe this was happening. Panic surged as he locked the door, his eyes fixed on me with an intensity that pinned me in place.

Now, I was trapped. Helpless. And the worst part was…I didn’t know what he was going to do. He took a step toward me, smirking.

“Now… now… what should I do with you?” His voice was low, teasing, but the edge in his words was deadly. I opened my mouth to speak, but no words came. My throat felt tight, and I could barely breathe, let alone answer him.

Suddenly, pain shot through my scalp as he grabbed a fistful of my hair, jerking my head back. “Ahh!” I couldn’t hold back a hiss of pain, my hands reaching up instinctively to free myself.

“Pl-please… it…it hurts…” I stammered, my fingers trying to loosen his grip. But he didn’t let go. His gaze locked onto mine, anger and something darker swirling in his eyes.
