Noah's POV I woke up from a nightmare and couldn't fall back asleep. The thing that scares me about my nightmares is that they always come to life. This nightmare was about Eleanor and our unborn child, they died in a car crash.
I was totally sweating and breathing like I had just ran a marathon, what was the message behind this?
As I walked downstairs to the kitchen, I saw it was raining outside. I walked to my backyard and sat on the soaking wet steps. The rain helps me think, so I started singing. "Gave it all to burn forever..." I still haven't finished that song yet, but I want Eleanor to help me with it. She's the real meaning behind the words, excluding my childhood memories.
As the rain falls down my head, I felt a hand on my shoulder. "You Okay honey? " it was Eleanor. I turned to her and kissed her knuckles. "I had a nightmare." She then sits next to me in the pouring rain and pulls me to rest against her. "What was it?" She asked as the rain got heavier. "I'm ok. It's not worth talking about. " I reply as she runs her fingers through my hair. "We don't have to talk about"

Her voice was muffled but I could still hear her. "How do you feel?" I changed the subject. "Ok, for some reason I was a little nauseous but I'm better now." I slowly stand up and gently help Eleanor stand up with me. "Can I get you anything? " she just smiles at me and shakes her head. "Wanna stand in the rain? " I asked as she was already heading down the step.
I followed her down to the middle of the yard as some lightning struck hundreds of feet above us. "Noah? I love you ." Ellie whispered as I brought her in for a hug. "I love you too. So f*cking much that I can't sleep." I said into her ear as we just held each other and swayed in the rain together.
"Everything's gonna be Okay for us, Noah we're right below the heavens... What else could go wrong?......."
I nodded my head but didn't believe it. Something really great happens for me and the devil still finds a way to kill me. That's what I'm afraid of... Losing her and our baby again.
"ELEANOR? BABY! SOMEBODY HELP ME!" I scream out but no one seemed to care, or even stop for us. "Noah... Don't go anywhere, you have to promise me baby" she says through the blood spewing out of her stomach and mouth. "No, Ellie no baby I'm not living without you!" I cried as she held my hand. "Noah, promise me... I need to hear you say it." A tear fell from her face as I shake my head. "I promise." I squeezed her hand so tightly as that beautiful smile slowly fades and our fingers no longer hold any contact. "Eleanor? Baby their coming, just hold on please! ELLIE? ELEANOR? NO GOD NO PLEASE DON'T DO THIS TO ME BABE. "
