Akali's Mother: Akali! Akali!

A sleeping thirteen-year-old Akali Shadow is seen sleeping in her bed as her mother calls her from the kitchen.

Akali's Mother: Akali, you had better be awake by the time I come over there or I'm getting the bucket.

At that moment, Akali's eyes shot open and she quickly shook off the covers and rushed to her closet. She puts on her outfit for the day and heads to the kitchen.

Akali: Good morning Mother.

Akali's Mother: (sarcastically) Ah, so you did hear me.

Akali playfully stuck out her tongue as she noticed that something was missing by the door, dads work tools.

Akali: Where's father?

Akali's Mother: He had to go in early today, remember dear? But I think if you finish your chores, you could go and see him.

Akali: Sure thing, Mother.

Akali moved gracefully through the house, her traditional attire blending seamlessly with her surroundings. She began by lighting incense at the ancestral shrine, offering a silent prayer to honor her ancestors and seek their guidance.

With a sense of reverence, she moved on to her next task. She picked up a bamboo broom and began to sweep the tatami mat floors. Her movements were methodical, each stroke of the broom precise, a dance of choreography that had been passed down through generations.

As the morning sunlight filtered through the shoji screens, Akali's next chore awaited. She approached the low wooden table and set out an array of freshly picked fruits and vegetables. Her family's breakfast would be served on these beautiful dishes, and she took care to arrange them with precision.

Once the table was set, Akali moved to the small garden just outside the sliding doors. She tended to the bonsai trees, carefully trimming the delicate leaves to maintain their graceful forms. She had learned this art from her father, and it was one of her favorite chores.

With the chores complete, Akali's home was filled with the scent of incense, the tranquility of a tidy living space, and the promise of a nourishing meal. She took a moment to reflect on her duties, her connection to her family, and her deep appreciation for the traditions of Kinkou Village.

As the morning sun bathed the house in a warm, golden light, Akali's sense of purpose was renewed. She stood, ready to face the day, and looked forward to the adventures and lessons that lay ahead.

The sun hung low in the sky, casting a warm glow over the serene Kinkou Village. Its peaceful streets were lined with cherry blossom trees, and the faint sound of a babbling brook added to the tranquil ambiance. Among the village's modest shops, one stood out: the weapon shop owned by Akali Shadow's father.

Akali approached the shop with a sense of excitement. Her deep brown eyes shimmered with curiosity and anticipation.

The bells above the door tinkled as Akali entered the cozy, cluttered weapon shop. Blades of various sizes adorned the walls, and the faint scent of freshly oiled metal hung in the air.

Behind the counter, Akali's father, a middle-aged man with graying hair and a warm smile, looked up from his work. He was carefully sharpening a pair of throwing stars. His eyes lit up as he spotted his daughter.

Akali's Father: (With a fond smile) Akali, my little shadow! You're up bright and early today.

Akali approached the counter, her gaze fixed on the gleaming weapons. She was filled with admiration for her father's craft.
