Team SAFF: A RWBY Story

Sky Altair

As the broken moon shines upon Remnant, the kingdom of Mistral struggles to maintain any middle ground. Aside from the Grimm, the people of Mistral live in fear of bandit tribes, and even if they survive those two, they end up begging for help from The Spiders, A crime syndicate operating near the Haven Huntsman Acadamy. The leader of The Spiders is Lil' Miss Malachite, and she is someone you do not cross. This story gazes at a Kingfisher Faunus, who is soaring over the great forests until suddenly, a medium-sized Nevermore swoops down. The Faunus stops and uses his wings to hover in the sky as he faces his opponent.

Sky Altair's weapons are called Stormfall. Stormfall is a pair of Sai that connect to form a staff, but the Sai can also transform into SMGs. Sky Altair's Semblance is Preflexes. It allows him to predict an attack before it happens.

The Faunus grabs his weapon on his hip. His weapon was a Sai with a blue handle. He moved to strike the Nevermore but missed. The Nevermore went to strike the Faunus with its talons, but the Faunus dodged the attack and used his wings to propel himself toward the Nevermore, slicing at its chest. The Faunus' Sai changed into its SMG form as he attempts to shoot the Grimm, but the shots missed. The nevermore shot its feather quills at the Faunus as he dodged the quills and grabbed his second Sai and then connected the two handles together as it transformed into a collapsable staff with the Sai at both ends. He dashes towards the Nevermore and slices the Grimm in two. The Faunus is relieved but immediately turns to see another Nevermore but bigger. The large Grimm dove down at the Faunus, but he quickly dodged. The Faunus then dived down to impale the nevermore in the back, sending it crashing into the ground. The nevermore quickly gets back up and launches off the ground as it tries to shake the Faunus off but fails as the Faunus was able to hold on. The Faunus then pulls out his weapon as he attempts to strike at the nevermore's wings but stumbles off. The Faunus catches himself with his wings. The large Nevermore fires its feather quills as the Faunus dodges and fires his dual SMGs, hitting the Grimm. The Faunus changed his SMGs into their Sai form as he charged at the Nevermore, doing a spinning motion as he severed the Grimm's left wing, causing it to die and disintegrate.

The Faunus lands in a small village as he walks to the job board used by the huntsman. He finds the one for the two Nevermores and checks it off. He then pulls out his scroll and sees the Lien transferred to his account. The Faunus then walks into the tavern and sits at a table. He waits for the innkeeper to order food until someone places a shot glass in front of him. The Faunus looks at the person to see a tall man wearing a grey jacket and a necklace of a sideways cross.

The Faunus: Can I help you?

???: I think you can. I'm looking for this girl, wondering if you've seen her while you're up in the sky. (Places a Photo down)

The picture was of a woman with a light brown complexion, with shoulder-length, straight brown hair. She had a beauty mark below her left eye. She used to wear a long, green hooded cloak on top of an off-white blouse with frill detailing on the shoulders, pleated lower half with a central split, alongside a brown vest that had three straps and golden lining around the collar. She had a dark brown corset with matching pants, as well as a pair of brown thigh-high boots with large cuffs and golden armor plating covering the boots up to her knees.

She also had an amber pendant on her vest, a gold bracer on her left arm, and two gold bracelets on her right wrist. Finally, she had a golden spaulder on her right shoulder as well as a brown shoulder strap with some pouches slung diagonally across her body.

The Faunus: (Looks at the photo) No, sorry, I haven't seen anyone like that around here. 

???: Oh, ok. Thanks anyway. The drinks are on me, bud.

The Faunus: Sky.

???: Huh?

The Faunus: My name is Sky Altair, and thanks for the drink.

Qrow: You're welcome. My name is Qrow Branwen.

Sky decided to rest for the rest of the night
