Sky Altair was born a kingfisher bird Faunus in the kingdom of Mistral, but as an infant, he was taken to the remote Yin Weng Monastery deep in the mountains. There, Grandmaster Flaxen Weng took pity on the abandoned baby and decided to raise him among the monks as his adopted son.

Once Sky learned to walk and talk, his education at the monastery began in earnest. Three masters, in particular, took young Sky under their wing, shaping his skills and knowledge.

Master Rama, a wise teacher with a demeanor as calm as the still waters of a mountain lake, led Sky into the heart of their ancient monastery, where the teachings of the Grimm would unfold.

The room was adorned with intricate tapestries depicting Grimm encounters, illustrating the age-old struggle between man and these soulless entities. Master Rama gestured toward one of these images.

Master Rama: The world of Remnant, young Sky, is a tapestry woven with both wonder and peril. Let me unravel the mysteries of the Grimm for you.

Sky's eyes widened with anticipation.

Sky: Please, Master Rama, enlighten me about these creatures.

Master Rama: The Grimm, also known as the Creatures of Grimm, are the embodiment of destruction. Negative feelings like resentment, grief, loneliness, hatred, and fear are what they are drawn to. It is as though these emotions cast a dark shadow, beckoning the Grimm to gather and attack anything they encounter on sight.

As he spoke, his fingers traced the image of a colossal avian Grimm on the tapestry, its wings outstretched as it terrorized a village.

Sky: And what of the Grimm's different species, Master Rama?

Master Rama: A discerning student, I see. Beowolves, for instance, are creatures to be wary of. Resembling dark, werewolf-like beings, they form packs and hunt much like regular wolves. With their vicious claws and teeth, some have been known to hurl debris from structures when facing huntsmen or huntresses.

Sky's curiosity ignited.

Sky: What about the avian Grimm you mentioned earlier?

Master Rama: Ah, the Nevermores. These colossal avian creatures of Grimm are both magnificent and terrifying. Their tough skulls can reduce structures like bridges to rubble. What's more, they can shoot their razor-sharp feathers with deadly precision, using them to either immobilize or eliminate their prey.

As the conversation continued, Rama wove the details of the Ursai into his narrative.

Master Rama: And then there are the Ursai, remarkable creatures indeed. They bear a resemblance to large, bear-like Grimm. The Ursai come in two distinct varieties - the Ursa Minor, smaller and more common, and the Ursa Major, larger, heavily armored, and incredibly powerful. Facing these colossal creatures is no small feat.

The air in the room seemed to grow heavy with the weight of the knowledge imparted. Sky absorbed Rama's teachings with rapt attention and endless curiosity. The knowledge of the Grimm began to shape his understanding of the world he would one day explore.

Master Beorn, the stern combat instructor, was a man of short stature but possessed an imposing presence that commanded respect. The training grounds were a vast expanse of rugged terrain, a canvas for Sky's journey into the world of combat.

The sun hung low on the horizon, casting long shadows across the training area as Sky and Beorn faced each other.

Master Beorn: You won't become a capable huntsman if you can't defend yourself. Let's see that determination in your eyes. Again!

Beorn's voice rumbled like distant thunder, and his gaze bore into Sky.

The air was thick with the scent of sweat and the echo of clashing metal. Sky's muscles burned, but his determination only grew stronger with each practice session.
