The dinner was a great success with everyone enjoying themselves, laughing and conversing. San mingled with friends and acquaintances but also kept a watchful eye on Wooyoung. This was a usual practice for San as Wooyoung was often described as "fragile" due to his slim build and shorter stature. San wanted to ensure his safety and well-being. However, he sensed that something was amiss with Wooyoung as if he was keeping a secret. San couldn't quite put his finger on what it was though.

As Wooyoung was having fun, he noticed someone approaching him. His friendly demeanor quickly changed to a more protective one. San tried to get a better look at who Wooyoung was talking to, wondering whether he needed to step in or if Wooyoung was fine on his own. These thoughts were running through San's head as he got closer. Eventually, the person talking to Wooyoung walked away, leaving him with a note in his hand.

As Wooyoung reads the note, tears begin to form in his eyes. San notices and hastens his steps to console the younger boy. Wooyoung, seeing San's concern, hides the note and bravely faces him.

"What happened? Who were you talking to? Are you okay? What did the note say?" San asked the younger person with concern.

"Sannie, there's no need to worry about me. I'm fine," Wooyoung asserts firmly, his voice lacking any room for argument. "You should go and enjoy the party." It's clear that the note has shaken him up, but he's determined to put on a brave face.

"Hey Wooyo, could you please give me the note? You can trust me, so just hand it over," San requests, extending his hand toward Wooyoung. However, Wooyoung shakes his head in denial, tears close to streaming down his face.

"Give it to me, Wooyoung," San's tone was harsh as he was starting to lose his patience. Usually, Wooyoung would have given him the note, so why was he being so stubborn today?

Wiping the tears from his face, Wooyoung looks San dead in the eyes. His once soft demeanor has turned completely cold. San is shocked by this sudden change in Wooyoung's behavior, as he has never seen this side of him before. Now, San is becoming increasingly frustrated. "Wooyoung, stop being stubborn and just give me the damn note," he raises his voice slightly, causing a few heads to turn and see what the commotion is about.

Hongjoong noticed some commotion and went to investigate. He saw Wooyoung, tears streaming down his face in shock, and San, who seemed to be angry. Hongjoong asked, "Can you please explain to me what's going on between you two?" However, before he could even approach the boys, Wooyoung quickly left the dining hall, leaving everyone else behind.

Wooyoung runs as fast as he can to his room closing and locking the door before moving something heavy in front of it. Sliding down to the floor he takes the note out of his pocket and reads it again,

"Wooyoung, it's quite amusing that you believe anyone in this family genuinely cares for you. The truth is, San's father only took you in because he was enamored with your mother. This is why San's mother despises you so much. You were born outside of wedlock, your parents have both passed away, and your entire family left you with strangers. It would be best for everyone, including San, Seonghwa, Hongjoong, Yeosang, and Jongho if you were to leave.

It's obvious that you are holding them back. If you were useful, they would have made you a part of the mafia. San doesn't love you, and it's unlikely that he ever will. If anything, he will marry Ji-yoo. Have you seen the way he looks at her?

It is evident that the way he gazes at you and Ji-yoo are contrasting. It's best if you don't hold yourself back and proceed with your plans. Additionally, it's advisable to keep this note to yourself and not disclose it to anyone else. I won't hesitate to ruin your life if you do."

Although he doesn't want to believe it, he can't help but feel like it's true. This isn't the first letter he's received; his closet has a box that is filled with letters like this. The person sending these letters is trying to break his confidence and plummet his self-worth to zero, and unfortunately, it's working. With each letter that arrives, he starts to believe them more, and this latest one was his breaking point.
