"What the hell are you talking about," Kang-Dae aggressively shouted. In response, San looked at the male as he took four folded pieces of paper out of his pocket. He unfolded the papers before tossing them on the older's desk. Kang-Dae reached for the photos with shaky hands. He looked and saw his daughter's room and favorite stuffed animals covered in blood splatter. The other two photos were of his and his wife's shared bed soaked up in blood. The last photo was of a female hand which was 100% identical to his wife's, this was further proven when recognized the wedding ring that was on her fingers.
No, his family couldn't be dead, could they? "If you don't believe that, then I have more photos I could share. But I doubt you will want to see them," San laughed. Kang-Dae looked up at the younger with eyes full of fear. All that ran through his mind was 'he's a monster.' He didn't want to believe it, no, he couldn't believe it.
"Now you don't have anything or anyone else to live for. What? Did you think I wouldn't find them? Or did you think I was too considerate to kill an innocent family?" San questioned the older male. Kang-Dae couldn't stop staring at the pictures. It was almost as if the photo had him in some type of trance, leaving him completely vulnerable. San noticed this and pushed himself off the wall, he took a few steps forward. "You know... you have so much good talent. You can easily manipulate the situation to go in your favor. You can easily get into people's minds and make them do your dirty work. But all of this goes to waste simply because you're an idiot."
"You lack common sense and despite being able to manipulate others you get easily manipulated. You lose your temper when things don't go your way. You get easily distracted from the main goal and go on rants about topics that don't matter," San continued. "You aren't cut out to be a leader in this line of work."
Kang-Dae felt the sweat drip down his forehead as his hands trembled. San was right. He wasn't cut out to lead in this line of work. Why did he start doing this kind of work? He had a good life. He had a wife who loved him and a daughter that he cherished. So why did he ruin everything? Because of him, the people he loved with his whole heart are dead when it should have been him who died. What he would give to turn back time so that he could be with his family.
Kang-Dae looked up at the younger male with eyes filled with rage. "These are fabricated, aren't they? These aren't real. Tell me they aren't real!" The male shouted. San just stared at the other male before speaking, "It's real. Why, do you want the rest of the photos? If that's the case then I don't mind showing you," San said as he pulled a phone out of his pocket.
"No... You're bluffing. You don't have photos. You just want to make me believe you do!" The older continued shouting before he was silenced as San flipped the phone revealing a photo of his wife. Her blood was pooled under her body, the color of her skin was completely drained leaving her pale, and her eyes were wide open and slightly cloudy.
Kang-Dae's eyes became filled with tears as he grabbed the phone with shaking hands. "No," He softly muttered. The tears that formed in his eyes rolled down his cheek and he felt himself on the verge of a breakdown. He had so much regret. Why did he do this? Why did he threaten San with Wooyoung's life knowing full well San would do anything for the younger male?
The eldest male looked at one of the drawers on his desk. He quickly opened the drawer and scavaged for something. In one swift motion, he quickly pulled out a handgun, made sure it was loaded, aimed, then fired...
Followed by the bang that echoed the room a loud thud was heard.
Kang-Dae had shot himself in the head which killed him instantly. A pool of blood formed on the desk underneath Kang-Dae's head. San wasn't shocked, to say the least, he predicted something like this would happen. San walked toward the dead male as he observed the body. With a small smirk on his face, he softly whispered, "What a shame. You noticed that the first four photos were fake but not the other photos..."
San turned around and exited the room. He looked around the long hallways and started to search the room. He had a loaded pistol in his hand, ready just in case. As he walked towards the staircase he had come in contact with a few of Kang-Dae's men, but immediately took care of them. Using the earpiece, he asked for the current status of what floors were clear.
Yeosang's voice was heard, "The basement, floor one, floor two, and floor three are clear." San nodded before making his way towards the stairs to head up to the fourth floor. As he was halfway up the staircase he felt that something was off. He continued up the stairs until he reached the fourth floor. Looking around the corner he immediately noticed that there were more guards on this floor than the previous one.
In total, he counted twenty-seven people in the hallway. He aimed his gun at one of the guards and fired, which caught the attention of the others who looked for the source of the gunshot. While they were distracted, he fired five more bullets with only one of them missing the target. After this, the male revealed himself and started to annihilate the rest of the guards.
Unfortunately for him, he wasn't left unscathed. Someone had shot his upper left arm and his lower right abdomen, but that didn't stop the male from fighting. He had successfully killed a little over half the men but found himself pinned against a wall by a male who was physically stronger than him.
He fumbled with his gun for a while before finally managing to shoot the male in his calf, which pulled his attention off San for a split second. San used this opportunity to land another bullet in the male's leg, which released the grip he had on San. He was out of breath from the constant fighting but continued to push through. There were only about twelve people who continued to stand in his way.
San kept fighting against the others while still trying to dodge their attacks but was caught off-guard when he heard around seven other shots being fired. The sounds came from the staircase that he used to reach the fourth floor. He looked over and saw both Jongho and Hongjoong with their guns aimed.
After they confirmed that there were no more treats, Jongho left to search the fifth and final floor while San and Hongjoong stayed behind to search the fourth floor. The males continued to update each other on everything that was going on. After around forty-five minutes every floor was cleared but there was no sign of Wooyoung. This left the males confused as they had their men around the premises and no one had left the property. Nothing was adding up.
"There is probably some type of hidden room in the building. Send a few more men in to help check the estate," San spoke in the earpiece. Hongjoong and a few others returned to the basement while Jongho focused on the first and second floors. Meanwhile, San returned to the third floor where Kang-Dae's office was located. As he opened the door he noticed that Kang-Dae's hand was moved. Not in a way where he would have moved it but in a way where someone was probably holding it.
He looked around the room and didn't notice anything that looked out of place besides the male's hand. The only door in the room was a door that led to a closet that had a collection of different types of weapons. However, upon further inspection, the male noticed something along the back wall. The wallpaper was slightly messed up in one specific area as if someone struggled to pull at it. Using one of the knives he found he stuck it into the small opening. He pulled back a small thin hidden wall which revealed a door behind it. He quickly opened the door and pointed his gun at whatever was in front of him.
He looked at a male who stood there hovering over someone with a knife in hand. "Drop the knife and step back," San commanded the male. The male continued to hold on to the knife but proceeded to step to the side and turn to face San. San's eyes immediately looked down as he looked at the person who was lying down on a table. His eyes widened as he saw the person he had been looking for since he was sixteen, Wooyoung.
