San felt guilty as he watched Wooyoung run out of the room. San immediately felt immense guilt. He knew that Wooyoung didn't appreciate it when people yelled at him. Just as he was about to comfort Wooyoung, he was stopped by his mother.
"Sannie, you can't go after that boy. You have things to do, and we don't have time for distractions," said Sans' mother in a soft and concerned tone.
Wooyoung is a sensitive person, especially when it comes to the people he loves. He tends to overthink things, which is likely due to his mother. Unfortunately, before she passed away, she said some hurtful things to him that have stayed with him. It's heartbreaking because mothers should love their children unconditionally and not mistreat them, especially when they are young. It's easy to manipulate Wooyoung by using the people or things he cares about, as San knows.
Although San strongly desired to console Wooyoung, he was unable to do so because of his mother and other adults. Consequently, he enlisted the help of Yeosang to check up on Wooyoung since they are close friends. Yeosang and Wooyoung are each other's confidants and seek solace and comfort in one another whenever they face a dilemma. This has been their dynamic for a long time.
Once Yeosang departed, his father informed San that it was time for him to begin his mission. San was feeling anxious and his mind was racing with countless thoughts. So much had occurred that day and all San desired was to finish the task and be by Wooyoung's side. As San and his father entered the vehicle, he observed a few others who would be accompanying them in case something went wrong. As the car began to move, San gazed out the window and watched as the mansion grew smaller and smaller as they drove away.
San couldn't shake off the feeling of guilt as he reflected on how harsh he had been with Wooyoung earlier. It was unlike him to be so emotional, especially around his best friend. Was it the stress from his mother or Ji-yoo's clinginess that made him snap? And what was in the note that Wooyoung refused to show him? Did it contain a death threat? The thought of something happening to Wooyoung while he was gone weighed heavily on his mind. His father noticed his son's anxiety and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. San looked up at his father and saw the compassion in his eyes.
"Don't worry, Son Wooyoung will be alright. Yeosang is probably with him now, and if anything were to happen, there are plenty of people to protect him," his father says, giving him a reassuring smile. "Despite being sensitive, Wooyoung is strong, and we both know that he could be an amazing fighter if he wanted to." He pauses for a moment, considering his next words. "You care about Wooyoung a lot... and you love him don't you San?"
San's eyes widened in surprise at his father's last sentence. "How did you know?" he asked, stuttering slightly.
San's father smiled and chuckled softly before speaking, "I knew from the moment you two met that you were going to fall in love." San felt a warmth inside, knowing that his father accepted him for who he truly was. "San, I don't care who you love, whether it's a boy or a girl. All I want is for you to be happy. If Wooyoung is the one who is making you happy, then I am happy too. Besides, I wouldn't mind having Wooyoung as my son-in-law."
San chuckled at his father's words, wishing his mother was equally as amusing. They arrived at a towering hotel, and the group huddled together to strategize their approach. San's father handed him the mission's details, and he studied them intently, gaining a clear understanding of the optimal plan. San inherited his father's natural leadership skills and swiftly took charge, outlining the most effective path to reach their target on the top floor. He then examined a map of the hotel, pointing out areas to avoid due to surveillance cameras.
The team has a strategy in place, with others focusing on eliminating any security threats. San's main objective is to take out the boss. They equip themselves with various weapons, each person with their own preference. San, however, opts for a simpler approach, carrying two guns, a pocket knife, and spare ammunition.
