After finishing the initial investigation Jongho covered the body for other officers to not throw up. Once the other officers entered the room they started a deeper investigation, yet they found nothing. No fingerprints, footprints, or any traces of DNA besides Ji-yoo's. They gathered whatever evidence they could although it wasn't much. After they left the crime scene for the others to take the body out and clean up the scene. As Jongho walked out he noticed that Ji-yoo's mother calmed down and was now talking to some officers. Avoiding the situation he headed back to where the other police officers were, handing them the marked bags that carried the little bit of 'evidence' they found.
"Call me if you need anything else or see something strange okay," Jongho said as he took off his mask and gloves before leaving to make his way off of the premises. As he walked past the large gates he heard lots of commotion. He looked to his right to see lots of news reporters and journalists crowding the area. Thankfully they were being blocked with barricades and the Shin family's security along with a few officers.
How insensitive. A family just lost their child yet they're over there trying to get information purely to satisfy their own curiosity. They're being Especially pushy since it's a well-known family. How idiotic. Jongho thought as he started walking in the opposite direction. As he walked down the road to his car his mind was filled with a certain question. What happened to those missing organs?
There was little evidence and the evidence that the police did have had no ties to Wooyoung. There were a lot of security cameras and guards on duty but he already knew that Wooyoung had ties with someone who could easily hack into the security. The chance they managed to tie the case to Wooyoung was so slim, after all, once Jongho got the job he immediately took any of Wooyoung's files. The only people who knew about Wooyoung being in Korea were himself, Yeosang, Seonghwa, Hongjoong, San, and the others who might have also come to Korea. Shaking his head he grabbed his keys from his jacket and unlocked the car. He opened the door and got into the driver's seat, he closed the door behind him and turned the car on.
Everyone was still looking at security footage, they managed to find Wooyoung on one of the cameras but he went into a dark alleyway and they completely lost him. It was strange because on the other side of the alleyway was another camera yet he wasn't seen exiting. When looking at a map of the city and comparing it to the footage there was nowhere for him to go. The only way to get out of that alleyway was to either go forward or backward.
"Maybe there was some type of sewer system entrance in the alleyway?" Seonghwa voiced. Yeosang slightly shook his head before speaking, "No... On the map, it marks those types of things but there wasn't one in this alleyway."
"What if he went up?" Hongjoong pitched in causing the other three to turn their attention to him. "Can you elaborate on that," San asked softly. Hongjoong nodded before speaking, "What if there was some type of ladder leading to the roof of these buildings? I have seen them before so it's possible he climbed up there and used the rooftops to get away."
"That makes sense... there usually aren't security cameras on rooftops which would make a good way to stay out of security footage. The only thing is that he would have to hop from rooftop to rooftop." Yeosang stated. "Well, Wooyoung has watched us train quite a lot when he was still here so he could have picked some of that up. Not to mention he was probably trained when he joined Luminous. In that case, it shouldn't be that hard for him." San said as he continued to look at the map.
As they continued to investigate the door opened and Jongho walked in causing the other four males to turn their attention to the younger. "Jongho! Your back. What exactly happened?" Seonghwa said as he looked at the younger. As Jongho made his way to the others he spoke, "In short Ji-yoo was murdered in her sleep. And it was brutal, to say the least."
The others were slightly stunned at the sudden news. "Murdered? Is that what Mr. Amamiya meant by Wooyoung going to Korea to seek revenge? Did Wooyoung murder her?" San said as he stood up from his chair. Jongho nodded as he took his jacket off, "The police don't have any evidence that would tie the case back to Wooyoung but I'm pretty sure it was him. And the way he did it was brutal. You could barely even recognize her that's how bad it was."
"Oh! Also, there was something else I noticed. Her stomach was cut open and a few of her organs were missing. I'm not sure what happened to them. They could have been taken or disposed of but it just didn't make any sense at the time..." Jongho said while furrowing his eyebrows. The others thought for a second, not only were they trying to comprehend the whole situation but they were also trying to come up with reasons as to why some of her organs were missing.
"Maybe he planned to sell them?" San softly spoke. "It would make sense if he took the valuable ones because those can be sold for a lot on the black market. That would be the most reasonable explanation for why some of her organs were missing."
"In that case, there isn't much we can do with that... I can try and track him down using the site but everything on the black market is anonymous so that's almost impossible. And we couldn't try buying from random people but the trading is mostly anonymous and we wouldn't even know if we would have the correct supplier." Yeosang spoke. "But it's still good information to have. Good job Jongho," San said smiling at the younger. The younger smiled back as he took a seat in his chair and began helping the others search.
"I don't think I have ever seen you be that brutal when murdering someone. You usually make it easy and you try not to leave much of a mess, what changed?" Yunho asked as stared at the younger male sitting across from him who was typing on a laptop.
"I'm not sure. I felt angry and disappointed but at the same time, I felt sad. I felt hatred consume me and for some reason, I just couldn't control myself." Wooyoung softly spoke as he looked up from the laptop. The two older males that sat across from him just slightly glanced at each other.
"It was strange. I have only felt like that once before in my life and that was when my father- died... I thought about everything she had done, not just to me but to others in her life. Although she was a horrible human that doesn't justify my actions. After all, Murder is still murder. It's just... I couldn't stop thinking about all the people who have died because of her. All the people she caused suffering to." Wooyoung went on as he stared out of the window next to him.
"In a way, Ji-yoo faced punishment for her actions with death caused by one of the surviving people she tormented. Her death in a way is also a punishment for her mother who enabled her actions instead of putting a stop to them. Once she was on the verge of death my mind went blank. I wanted her to suffer until her very final breath... At that moment all I saw was my father. Am I... becoming like him?" Wooyoung said as tears slightly filled his eyes.
"In no way are you becoming like your father. Your father... was a horrible person. He killed for his satisfaction. You don't. Just because you're a killer doesn't mean you're a horrible person. There are tons of people who have killed others for solid reasons such as self-defense. Those people were just trying to protect themselves. Just because they took another person's life doesn't make them a bad person does it?" Yunho said as he leaned forward.
"Right. Plus, you are one of the kindest people I have ever met Wooyoung. When I first met you, I thought that you couldn't hurt a fly, but when I saw your skills I was proven wrong. Then, I thought you were scary, but as I got closer to you, I realized you are the complete opposite. Yes, you are in this line of work, that is awful, but it's not because you necessarily wanted to be, right? I mean the only reason you joined Luminous was because you needed to provide for yourself and because you didn't want to be found." Mingi spoke up.
Wooyoung looked at the two males and smiled. He felt so lucky to have these two giants by his side. "Thank you for that... It helped me feel better," he spoke looking away slightly embarrassed. The other two couldn't help but chuckle at the younger reaction. "Now, let's finish this article," Yunho spoke enthusiastically.
