"I never thought this day would come," Jongho spoke in disbelief. "What do you mean?" San questioned. "You and Wooyoung. One day you guys are 'just friends' the next you're officially dating. When did this happen?" Jongho asked arms crossed as he looked the older up and down.
"I would like to give credit where credit is due and say that I helped immensely by pushing San to hurry up and confess. Now they're both happy and we don't have to painfully watch them be dismissive of their feelings. Go ahead and thank me later," Seonghwa spoke up from his seat. "How on earth did you manage to get through his thick skull?" Hongjoong joked, receiving an irritated hey from San. "Simple really, Some persuasion from my side and some reassuring words from Yunho and Mingi," Seonghwa replied.
Both Jongho and Hongjoong had a baffled look on their faces. "You. The Choi San who is known to not really like those two males actually listened to them?" Hongjoong asked in an overly dramatic tone. San sighed before nodding. "It's not like I had a choice after all. Your boyfriend forced me to do so," he said while pointing to Seonghwa, who refused to look in his direction.
"Alright then... So, where are the other four?" Jongho asked while looking around. "No idea. All I know is that they are together somewhere." Hongjoong sighed. "I believe they are helping Wooyoung get ready for later," San answered, looking out the window.
"What's later?" Seonghwa asked. "Taking Wooyoung on a date," San dryly responded. "Date?" Hongjoong questioned. San nodded in response as he turned his head to look back at the three males. "Really? Where are you taking him? Is it somewhere romantic?" The three males proceeded to bombard him with questions.
"I can't believe it. I feel like a parent watching their child grow up," Seonghwa said as he sat up straight. "You're being dramatic," San concluded. "No, I'm not." The eldest said in a defensive tone. "Oh! While we are on the topic, when are you going to speak up about your feelings?" The eldest spoke with an innocent smile as he turned to the youngest. "Don't think you're going to be able to persuade me as easily," Jongho declared, receiving a small no fun from Seonghwa.
"Anyways. What are you going to wear for this date?" Hongjoong asked. "No idea," San muttered, slightly embarrassed. "Please tell me you're joking San. What time are you guys meeting up?" Seonghwa hesitantly spoke. "5:30," San grumbled. "Alright then. We have an hour to spare. San, you do whatever you need to do. I'm going to raid your closet and find you an outfit. "Hyung, there is no need to do that-" San attempted to speak but was cut off by Seonghwa. "Not another word. I will be helping you, and that's final." Seonghwa shushed, receiving a groan from San.
Before they knew it, time had flown by, and it was already 5:25. San felt his heart start to pound in his chest as time got closer and closer to 5:30. "San you're going to be fine. You guys have known each other since you were like four or five years old. How can you still be so nervous? It's just going to be like every other dinner you guys have had, except you're in a relationship." Seonghwa reassured him.
"I know that, but what if I embarrass myself? He's going to think I'm a fool. Or what if he doesn't like what I have planned," The older groaned as he covered his face with his hands. "Impossible. If you were to embarrass yourself, he would think it's adorable, and no matter what you would do for him, he would love it. In a relationship with the love of his life yet still so paranoid about the smallest things."
"Besides, you two have quite literally had sex. I think you should be past the point where you get embarrassed over trivial things," Seonghwa scoffed as he finished helping style San's hair. "You're right! You're right... How the hell do you know that?" San questioned. "Yesterday, Wooyoung had a slight limp when he walked. It wasn't noticeable at first, but the more I looked, the more it became noticeable, and then I just put two and two together."
San scoffed before looking in the mirror to observe his outfit. His outfit was entirely black, but it looked good. Fitted pants, a belt around his waist, and a button-up shirt with the sleeves rolled up exposing his forearms. On his wrist was a silver watch, while his fingers were decorated with a few black rings. His hair was slicked back for the most part with only a few loose strands in front.
"Don't be nervous. You look great, okay? You got this," Seonghwa said while patting the younger on the back. "Thanks, Seonghwa," San beamed. Seonghwa grinned before leaving the room. San grabbed his car keys, wallet, and phone before walking out of his bedroom and closing the door behind him. He proceeded to walk down the hallway until he reached Wooyoung's room. He knocked on the door as he waited for the younger to respond.
A few seconds later, the door opened revealing Wooyoung who was putting his last earring on. "Sannie," Wooyoung said with a smile. San felt the words he was going to say vanish. He looked at Wooyoung's outfit in complete awe. Just like San, Wooyoung wore an all-black outfit. A buttoned v-neck sleeveless vest with nothing under it, a black blazer, and a pair of dressy pants. His hair was parted in the middle and he wore a bit of eyeliner.
A smile formed on San's lips before he spoke, "You look beautiful." A light blush spread across Wooyoung's face as he smiled back, "I could say the same about you." San placed a small kiss on Wooyoung's cheek before once again speaking, "You ready to go?" Wooyoung let out a mhm before stepping out of his room and shutting the door behind him. He then proceeded to follow San down the hallway and outside to where the car was waiting.
San opened the passenger side door, letting the younger get in before heading to the driver's side. The car ride was pleasant for the two males. Either way, it would have been since the two males always enjoy each other's presence.
"So what are we doing today?" Wooyoung asked, looking at the older. "I have a few things in store for you. First, we are going to dinner. The rest is a surprise," San explained, taking a quick glance at Wooyoung. Now that San was actually with the younger every ounce of nervousness he previously felt vanished. Due to Seonghwa's reassuring words and Wooyoung's calming presence, San felt at ease.
A few minutes later, Wooyoung looked out his window to see the ocean. A small gasp escaped his mouth as he looked down at the ocean waves. Before he knew it, they were pulling into the parking lot of a fancy restaurant located above water. Wooyoung turned to face San, who had a smile on his face as he parked the car. "Stay seated, darling," San commanded as he turned the car off, getting out of his seat to open Wooyoung's door.
"You ready?" San spoke as he extended his hand to the younger. Wooyoung grabbed his hand, letting San help him out of the car. Still holding hands, the two males entered the restaurant. Wooyoung admired the aesthetic of the establishment. People were eating and having a good time. Gorgeous chandeliers hung from the ceiling, which helped provide light to the room, and a few large aquariums along the back wall.
While Wooyoung was occupied admiring the room, San was busy talking to the hostess. "Do you have a reservation?" The middle-aged woman asked. "Yes, we do. It should be under Choi San." The San spoke. The lady nodded before taking them to their seats.
They passed the main dining room and walked through a different entrance behind the wall of aquariums, revealing a private room that was even more beautiful than the first but with fewer people. It just kept getting better and better as they sat at a table next to the large windows that showed the ocean.
"Sannie," Wooyoung said in awe as he looked around. With a wide smile on his face, San spoke, "Do you like it?" "I love it Sannie! It's beautiful," Wooyoung continued. "I'm glad you like it, love," San spoke as he looked at the younger with pure admiration in his eyes. The two males had an amazing time as the day continued, watching as the sun set knowing the second part of their date was soon.
