Ransom paces around in front of the estate. You had since retired to bed, he even quickly checked just to watch you, hearing your deep breaths. He walked into the twins' rooms staring at the two of them. Wishing that this was under better circumstances. Wishing that there will come a time when he could walk into your room, laying down in the bed beside you. But for now, he has to worry about Andy.
"Almost there," Ransom gets the text he was waiting on. He walks outside and now is waiting on that stupid ice cream truck. When Robert arrives, he arrogantly walks up to Ransom. "To what do I owe the pleasure of coming here where your precious kitten is? The brats in there too?"
Ransom bites back the need to lash out at his brother. He needs him right now. "I have a favor."
"You already got the girl. Got those bastards, what could you possibly need?"
"I need Andy Barber dead."
Robert smirks at his little brother, realizing how dark Ransom can be. "Why?"
"He won't leave her alone until he's dead. He's been too quiet lately."
"Why don't you get Nicky or Everett to take care of it? Aren't they on your payroll now?"
Ransom bites at his lip. "Nick is. Everett is training her. Murder isn't their style. It's yours."
Robert's large body stalks around Ransom, "It'll cost you. Andy's a big target."
"You know I got the money."
"I want another piece of that cunt."
Ransom's hand wraps around his brother's neck slamming him up against the ice cream truck, "Say another word about her, and I'll kill you myself. All you're getting is fucking money."
"Gone soft. I thought you had it in ya."
"I'll kill you right now," he adds more pressure to his neck, shoving his body harder into the truck. "Eat shit. I don't need you."
Robert laughs, "You do. I want to make amends with you. I'll kill him. Admit it though," Ransom cocks his head to the side, "Admit you love the bitch," Ransom's grip tightens even more. "Admit you love the girl."
"You know it's true. I love her. I need her safe, and if that means eliminating Andy. That's what I need."
"Fine. It'll still cost you. I'm setting myself up going after that fucking cunt. Go play house now, little Ran."
----
"Thank you for this. Mary will love it," Frank tells you through the phone. Ari packs up a few toys that him and Mary picked out for the twins. "We're actually about ready to leave."
You giggle a bit, "Well, we just got started. I've got to get two toddlers ready. I'm sure Mary gets herself ready."
"Yeah, no rush. Is Nick coming with you?" Frank hates that every time he wants the girls to spend time with Mary that Nick is always lingering around you.
"It's kinda his job. He's a big help. Makes us feel safe. You got a problem with Nicky?"
"No. It's just intimidating. Is he like armed?"
"Frank, don't worry about Nick. You get used to him."
Frank gets off the phone with you, and picks up Mary, "You ready to go see your...cousins," Frank wants to be honest with Mary, Iris is more than just her cousin, but she isn't even aware that Mary and Iris are his daughters. Mary doesn't know about Andy not being her father, or Ransom being Aster's father. She doesn't know that Frank isn't just an uncle.
"Yes! I painted Y/N a picture too! I mean, I don't know if she'll like it, but I did try my best."
"She'll love it, kiddo," Ari says picking her up. "I love having you two here. It's so quiet here alone. And I love getting to see those babies."
"You don't have to stay alone. You and Frank need girlfriends. Is Andy coming?"
Ari and Frank look at one another. The last person they want to see is Andy. "No, he's busy."
"Maybe next time then."
----
"I'm gonna head to the bathroom, you got her," Frank asks standing up. Ari gives him a nod, "They're at the gas station should be here soon."
Ari watches Mary play on the jungle gym, smiling at how content she is, and even more so that she's able to have a relationship with her sister. His phone vibrates, and he's pissed at the number calling him. "What do you want?"
"Wow, is that how you answer your brother? I just want to apologize. I screwed up."
"You threatened her at their birthday party, Andy. She didn't have to let you come and you took it upon yourself to threaten her. You aren't changing. Frank was a fucking idiot. He convinced himself you would change. The day they were born, she knew. She knew that there was two of you, told Frank she wanted to keep the Andy that he was. She never loved you, ya fuckin' bastard. The best thing for you to do is go away."
Ari lost in the berating conversation with Andy, his eyes leave Mary. She sees a mustached cop over at the side of the playground that she recognizes, walking over to him to tell him hey. "Hey, you know Deputy Everett, right?"
"Yep. One of my best friends."
"He's been helping my aunt a lot. She's coming here with the babies. They're my cousins."
Bill smiles down at the little girl, his eyes roam over to Ari who has stood up screaming in his phone. Couldn't have been more perfect, Andy was right, he really does know how to rile Ari up. He got lucky with Frank not being around. "I bet he helps her out," his voice oozes down to her. "You want to help me out with something?"
"I can't leave the playground. Frank would get mad."
"I'm an officer though."
Mary looks back at Ari, seeing Frank come out of the restrooms in the distance, "I can't."
Bill grits his teeth, "Not an option," he wraps his arms around the small girl, and instantly she begins kicking and screaming. His hand wraps around her mouth, but she bites him, causing him to scream, "You fucking brat. He owes me big for this."
"Frank!"
"Goddammit," Bill runs towards the car, Frank's eyes directly on him. He slams the door closed in the back, still holding tightly to Mary. "Go Neil! Shut up! We're taking you to Andy and your aunt. She's got your sisters," Frank runs over to the van as fast as he can but not fast enough.
Mary's voice hoarse from screaming and crying continues to kick around, "My cousins."
"Iris is your sister. Now shut up! Neil! Faster!" Neil speeds up weaving out of traffic to get away from Frank and Ari. "If you can't drive better than this, I'll let you take care of her, and I'll drive."
"I don't like kids."
