During class, Delilah sat down next to Dustin and grinned.

"Hate this class, dude," Dustin groaned. "Mrs. Bell is the worst. Old ladies are always bitches."

She laughed and glanced over at Maya and Anna, who were acting weirder than usual. Maya was completely spaced out, and Anna was practically talking to herself.

"Bro," Dustin said, tapping on her arm. "Check it out. I drew UGIS and her friend."

The drawing was definitely meant to be a joke since every feature was greatly exaggerated. He made Maya's bowl cut look worse than it already was and drew Anna's nose so big that it could barely fit on the paper. However, like the middle schooler she was, Delilah couldn't help but snicker at the poorly made art.

"Are you serious?" she said, raising an eyebrow. "You suck at drawing. Let me add one more thing, though."

Delilah reached over and drew a thought bubble coming from each of their heads and wrote 'I <3 BRANDT' and 'I <3 ALEX' in them.

"Oh, shit," Dustin laughed. "You're right. Let's pass this to Brandt and Alex. They'll probably strangle us at lunch, but the looks on their faces are gonna be so worth it."

He tapped on the shoulder of the boy in front of them and whispered "pass this to Brandt." The boy nodded and nudged the girl in front of him, signaling the same thing.

"Not fucking funny, bro," Brandt said as he sat down at the lunch table, rolling his eyes.

"What are you guys talking about?" Heather asked.

Alex groaned and tossed the piece of paper onto the table. "Dustin and Lila drew this during class. Did you guys have nothing better to do?""

Dustin snickered and looked at Delilah. "Yeah, basically. Mrs. Bell's class is a pain in the ass. Thank God Lila was with me."

"It was so funny," Delilah grinned. "We were trying not to laugh when we saw Maya staring at the back of your neck, Brandt."

"Ew," Connie said, crinkling her face up in disgust. "Why does UGIS want you so bad, Brandt? Wasn't she a bitch to you?"

Brandt shrugged. "I don't know, bro. But let's be honest; who doesn't want me?" he smirked.

Everyone at the table groaned and rolled their eyes.

"You gotta lower your ego a bit," Heather muttered, earning a nod of agreement from Connie.

"Why'd you call us to meet in the bathroom?" Delilah asked as Heather shut the door behind them.

"Yeah, what's going on?" Connie questioned.

Heather grinned and put her backpack down on the sink. "Okay, you guys can't tell anyone, but..." she began to say, as she pulled two thongs out of her backpack. "I got you guys these."

Delilah's face stared at her friend in horror. "Heather, you do know that we already have underwear, right?"

"Don't be silly, Lila," Heather laughed. "This isn't just any underwear. These are thongs. Apparently, they make you like, ten times cooler than you already are. Plus, I've heard the guys say that they're hot."

"Damn, okay," Connie giggled. "I'll take one. What color do you want, Lila?"

"The... white one? I guess?" Delilah responded hesitantly. "Are you guys sure about this? They look so uncomfortable."

"Beauty is pain, Lila," Heather smiled.

Maya and Anna invited Delilah over to Maya's house, where they were messing around with an ouija board.

"What the hell is going on?" Delilah said, putting her bag down to sit next to Anna.

"We're trying to contact Maya's grandpa," Anna explained.

"Yeah, my Ojichan," Maya added.

"Spirit, show yourself," Maya and Anna said in sync as they held each other's hands. "Spirit, reveal. Spirit, show yourself, so Maya knows you're real."

"I think he's here," Anna sighed. "I don't know, I could be wrong. I can just feel it. Okay, so put your hands on it."

"Oh my God, okay," Maya whispered.

"Ojichan... are you here?" Anna asked.

This is just getting weirder and creepier, Delilah thought to herself. Should I just leave?

The planchette moved to the part of the board that said 'YES' and Maya immediately took her hands off. "Oh my God, that's crazy. Are you moving it? I don't wanna do this."

When Maya put her hands back onto the board, they began spelling out two different words; 'CLIT' and 'MASTURBATE.'

"Ew, what the fuck is wrong with you guys?" Delilah groaned, grabbing her back and standing up. "I'm gonna chill with Shuji for a while instead."

Just as she was about to walk out the door, Shuji appeared. "Yo. You said you wanted to hang out, Lila?" he asked. "Wait. You guys are playing Ouija?" he scoffed, glancing over at Maya and Anna.

"We're not playing, it's serious. So," Anna whined, fixing her hair to try and impress Shuji.

"That shit's so stupid. You realize one of you is moving it and it's just your subconscious, right?" he said. "Whatever. You guys are idiots. Come on, Lila. Let's go skate outside for a bit, I'm bored."

˚ʚ♡ɞ˚

"Why do you even hang out with them, dude?" Shuji asked as he did an ollie. "I mean, you're a loser seventh grader, sure, but you're chill. My sister and Anna are lame."

Delilah bitterly laughed as she sat down on the curb, holding her skateboard in her lap. "Everyone keeps asking me that. But like, they're my childhood friends. How am I supposed to just ditch them like that, you know?"

"Hm. I guess it's cool that you're loyal and shit," Shuji nodded. "But seriously. They were just fucking around with an Ouija board. You've gotta admit how stupid that is."

"Yeah. That was the reason why I was leaving to go hang with you," she grinned. "They were trying to contact your Ojichan for some reason. It was so weird; they started spelling out nasty shit like 'clit' and 'masturbate.'"

Shuji's face wrinkled up in disgust. "Ew, the fuck? I didn't think that dummy could be any more of a freak."

"She's creepy," Delilah admitted. "But she's still my friend, I guess."

"Probably not for long," Shuji scoffed.

When she arrived home, Shuji's words still rung in Delilah's head. Why do I even hang out with them? she asked herself. It's like they became assholes the second they entered seventh grade. They had always been weird, but I sort of got used to it. Now they're just plain creepy.

She groaned as she took out her homework and placed it on her desk. It didn't matter; all she had to do now was focus on her studies.

Surely there wouldn't be any drama this year, right?
