Hi again !! Sorry for doing these author notes on practically every chapter now, but I just need them to put more explanations and context into these chapters as they get more and more confusing.

I changed the name of the book, since I thought it would fit Alex & Lila a bit more, but lmk if I should change it back.

I honestly also don't know how I'm going to write this chapter out, so it's probably going to be very messy. This is the episode where Anna and Maya get all witchy, but similarly to the wrestling episode, I cannot even picture Delilah wanting to get involved in any of that stuff. So it'll probably mostly be written from her perspective while hanging out with her other friend group; like how they'll react when Maya literally puts her hair in Brandt's locker. Sometimes the chapter turns out differently than I predict it will, though. So I'm not sure yet.

Sorry for rambling. Either way, I hope you guys enjoy this chapter.

The next day at school, Anna walked into class and slammed a huge book onto her desk, making Delilah flinch.

"Okay, last night, I made a spell book," Anna grinned. "We can get anything we want."

"Jesus, you guys. What happened yesterday? I don't show up to one hangout and suddenly you two are witches?" Delilah laughed.

"Yup," Maya said proudly. "We discovered our powers in the woods yesterday."

"Uh huh," Delilah doubtfully said, raising an eyebrow. "Care to explain what the book is for?"

"We can use it to cast spells on people," Maya said. "I'll curse the next asshole that tries to call us BSB."

"Wait, what does BSB mean, anyways?" Delilah asked. "No one even explained it to me yet."

"It stands for... big smelly bush," Anna muttered. "The guys from the wrestling team are calling us that now."

"Ew, the fuck?" Delilah said in disgust. "Those dickheads."

"Yeah," Maya sighed. "It's whatever. Anyways, what do you guys think we should use our magic on? Think about it."

Anna hesitated as she glanced over at Alex and Brandt, who entered the classroom late. "I'm sorry, Lila, but... I really, really, really wish I never loved Alex."

"Really?" Delilah said softly, taking Anna's hand. 

"Yeah," Anna admitted. "I mean, it's not your fault that he likes you, Lila. I just... wish it didn't hurt me as much as it does."

"I'm sorry," Delilah responded apologetically. "I should've waited a while before dating him."

"No, you shouldn't have," Anna smiled. "I'll get over him soon. Anyways... Maya, you should do the 'hex the asshole' spell for Brandt."

"Or... I could do a love spell for me and Brandt," Maya slowly said. "Because think about it. If he was my boyfriend, no one would be saying the stuff they're saying to us."

"Maya..." Delilah groaned. "You're insane."

Anna nodded in agreement. "Yup. You're crazy."

"Okay, fine, if you guys are gonna be like that," Maya said, rolling her eyes as she grabbed the spell book from Anna's desk. "Then I'm doing the love spell."

Delilah watched in horror as her friends seemed to be going insane. They ripped out flowers from gardens, took strands of Brandt's hair from his clothes when he wasn't paying attention, and stole Alex's hoodie when he left class to go to the bathroom. For a while, she decided that avoiding them would be best, since she didn't really feel like getting involved in their... phase.
