"Debra," Gabe mumbled. "Divorce. Wolves. Or what, Debra? Are you gonna divorce me? You're gonna feed me to the wolves?"

Delilah laughed as she picked up her makeup brush. "Nervous, Gabe? Stay still for a second; I need to finish drawing on your old man wrinkles."

While Gabe was looking down at his script with Delilah doing his makeup and fixing his hair, someone knocked at the door.

"Come in!" she called.

"Hey!" Ian said to Gabe as he smiled at Delilah. "There you are. Just wanted to say break a leg."

"Oh," Gabe said, surprised. "Um... thank you. Uh, you too."

Before Ian left to walk back out of the dressing room, he turned back around. "Uh, P.S., you should totally keep your hair like that. Delilah, you did such a good job. It looks... really cool."

"Thanks," Gabe softly said as Ian walked away.

"What was that about?" Delilah smirked as she fixed Gabe's tie. "Is there something going on between you and Ian that I don't know about? If you weren't dating Maya, I would've thought that you had a thing for him."

"I don't know what you're talking about," Gabe mumbled, embarrassed. "Anyways, thanks for helping with my costume and makeup and everything. I couldn't have pulled off this look without you."

She smiled and gave him a pat on the back as he stared at himself in the mirror.

"Anytime."

"Okay, places in five," Anna announced, sounding pretty annoyed.

"You good, Anna?" Delilah worriedly asked as she placed her measuring tape down. "You seem stressed."

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine," Anna sighed. "Or at least I will be, if we can pull this play off."

"Hey," Maya said as she walked up to the two girls. "Didn't hear from you last night, Anna."

Anna rolled her eyes. "Can't hear you. Have my headphones on."

"I didn't hear from you last night," Maya said, raising her voice.

"I didn't hear from you last night either," Anna snapped. "Anyways, if you don't find your light, the whole thing's gonna go wacko, so..."

"Okay, do you know how many lines I have to remember right now?" Maya complained.

"422. Congratulations," Anna exasperatedly responded. "Find your light."

"The light will find me, Anna, like seriously," Maya whined. "Honestly, all you have to do right now is just like, pep me up. Like, just say like, 'break a leg,' whatever. You haven't said that to me once."

Delilah awkwardly backed away as her friends bickered with each other.

"Your feelings are valid. So are mine," Anna argued. "And you can't take constructive criticism. That's my feeling. Good luck."

"Are you kidding?" Maya cried. "Okay, you just jinxed me. It's supposed to be 'break a leg,' so now I'm gonna be really bad in the play, but it's fine."

"Oh, um... break a leg, Maya," Delilah said with a comforting smile.

"Thanks, Lila," Maya said. "Anyways, Anna. Let's just hold each other's hand and say 'I'm sorry.'"

Anna looked down at Maya's extended hand and rolled her eyes. "I'm not ready right now."

"Well, I'm not really ready for it either," Maya said, taking her hand back. "I was honestly just saying it 'cause I thought it was the right thing to do."
