it's been brought to my attention that the main character of my story sounds like a bully, so i'll try to change that from now on. i'm sorry if i offended anyone because she was rude to maya & anna, but part of the story was that kids in middle school often switch up on their friends, you know? but i'll definitely start writing things differently if people want me to; i didn't want the plot to be exactly the same as the show, since i'm adjusting it around alex. just note that the characters aren't going to be exactly the same.
for example, from the main character's point of view, some things maya and anna did in the show would've definitely been considered weird in middle school. but honestly, who wasn't weird in middle school, you know? also, i wanted brandt to be less of a dickhead, cause i feel like his character was barely built during the show. like, his dad dying definitely had an effect on him, and i feel like that might be part of the reason why he's such an asshole during the show. idk. i might be wrong. don't quote me on that.
i know how it feels to be one of the only asian kids in a prominently white school. and i know the pressure of trying to act like the other kids, which is sort of what delilah is going through, i guess? which is also something maya had to deal with during the show. but i'm sorry if delilah started to come off as a bully. she's just someone who has to deal with the whole middle school experience. i'll try adjusting her character more, i guess.

to clear some things up:
1. i like maya and anna, and i have a lot of respect for them and the show that they wrote. i just don't agree with SOME of the things that they did in the show (although i know it was for comedic purposes), like when maya brought up brandt's dad or when they literally stole heather's underwear and wore it. i apologize if the main character is becoming a bully; i'll change that. i removed brandt's asian remark from the story, since i understand that it comes off as weird. i apologize for that too. dustin's picture was a reference to the animated episode in the show, since i'm probably not going to write a chapter about that one, and it also just depicts how cruel kids can be in school, i guess. sorry if anyone was offended by it, though.
2. i know brandt was the one who said the racist remark in the show, but this isn't going to be completely accurate to the show. after all, it's just a wattpad story. also, i'll try to change the story so that the main character gets angry towards becca, connie, and the others as well.
sorry to anyone that was mad over this or got offended; that wasn't my intention at all. i just wanted to write a story.
