"Ha-ha, yeah. Take this! And this! Oh, and how about three of these?"
Pepper rolled her eyes at Casey's excited shouting. She and the others were watching him and Donnie play video-games, and Donnie was currently losing.
"And the winner is: Casey Jones!" Casey cheered. "Cha-ching!"
"Ah, old school games are stupid," Donnie huffed, throwing down his controller. "I'm more into a modern, fully-immersive, 3-D experience."
"Sore loser," Max muttered through fake coughs.
"I'll give you a fully-immersive P-D experience," Mikey called from the entrance to the lair. he walked in carrying a stack of pizza boxes. "'P' as in 'pizza' and 'D' as in 'delicious'." He started tossing some of the boxes out. "Yeah, boy!" He still had four boxes left.
"What, this is all we get, Mikey?" Raph asked, taking his pizza. "And you keep the rest?"
"You're right, brah." Mikey opened the top box and grabbed a single slice. "I'm being greedy." He tossed the slice to Raph and it landed on his head.
Raph grabbed the slice and pulled it off his head. "Remind me to smack you later."
"Uh, Raph?" Raya said as he was about to take a bite, noticing the cockroach that had crawled onto it.
Raph just sighed and flicked it away.
"You're not freaking out?" Casey asked.
Raph shrugged. "Eh, after you've been to a planet full of bugs, nothing bothers you anymore." He took a bite of the pizza.
"Even after Mona Lisa betrayed you and you were almost eaten by a giant scorpion monster?" Donnie questioned.
"Can we drop the Mona Lisa thing already??" the hothead snapped, bolting to his feet. "Seriously!"
"Well...it's awesome you got over your phobia, Raph," April commented, trying to defuse the situation. "That's really hard to do."
"Yeah, maybe you can help me with my spider thing," Astra said from behind Mikey, snatching a box from him. "Though I doubt we'll be seeing any large spiders anytime soon. Or ever. Ever would be good."
"Alright, guys, finish fueling up fast, 'cause we're heading out on patrol," Pepper said as Leo came into the room. "Shredder's out there somewhere. Who knows what he's cooking up?"
"Ninjas? Robots? Mutants?" Nyx listed. "Though knowing him, probably something worse."
----------
They split up into three teams on he surface: Donnie, April, Raya, Lucian, and Astra took the Party Wagon. Mikey, Leo, Nyx, Pepper, and Samirah took the rooftops. Max went with Raph, Casey, and Hunter in the alleys.
"No way, dude!" Mikey's voice came over Max's comm. "Crognard is like the greatest cartoon ever!"
"Hello?" Leo argued. "Are you serious? Space Heroes! Captain Ryan! I mean, come on! Didn't you see the episode where they fought the Cortexicons?"
"Children, I hate to break up this vastly important conversation," Lucian interrupted, "but any signs of the Foot?"
"Nada, Bromeo," Mikey responded.
"This is pointless," Casey said. "Shredder's out of commission."
"We don't know that!" Raph argued. "He could be out there--right around the corner." An alarm went off, catching their attention.
"Uh, maybe we patrol in that direction?" Hunter suggested, turning and running to follow the sound.
Casey grinned. "Yes!" He ran off after the silver-haired Aussie, Raph, and Max not far behind.
