Pepper and the guys were on a stakeout/tracking night to see what aliens were up to, because that's all they seem to do anymore. Pepper stood with arms folded, leaning against the skylight, Mikey seated on the other side. Raph and Leo were standing, the latter looking more patient than the former. Donnie was kneeling by the edge, telescope to his face, looking down at the droids. Pepper's tail swished softly as she waited for something to happen.

"Whoa!" Donnie said suddenly. "That's a sub-spatial endoparticle disrupter!"

"You're gonna have to explain if that's 'oh-no' or 'yay'," Leo said.

Pepper stepped up to Donnie's side, following his gaze. "In the hands of the Kraang? Definite 'oh-no'."

"Why?" Mikey asked. "What does it do?"

"The disrupter an de-synchronize subatomic resonances," Pepper explained.

"Which invert polymolecular structures," Donnie added.

"Causing them to implode," Pepper finished.

The boys stared at them. She was sure they knew what 'implode' meant, but doubted they got the rest of it. Mikey frowned in confusion at his brother.

"It makes things go 'boom'," Raph explained, as though it were obvious.

"Technically," Donnie piped up, "it makes things go zweeee-chooooo! Pop!" There was silence as they all stared blankly at Donnie, blinking at him. He shrugged. "It's important to be accurate," he said simply.

Okay... "No one in the world is that accurate, Donnie," Pepper told him, turning back toward the Kraang-droids. "Alright, guys. We need to be careful with this. We get in, grab the disrupter, and get out. Nothing too messy, okay? We don't wanna get hit by that thing."

"You don't have to tell us twice," Raph said. "Let's go."

They walked up to the ledge of the roof and stopped. Pepper stood between Leo and Donnie, staring down into the street below. She could see the droid carrying the disrupter from here.

"Okay, guys, get in position," she said. "Ready....Ah, what the heck, let's just do this."

In unison, they leapt from the ledge and dove toward the street, doing several somersaults before landing in a crouched position. They stood and looked around. From across the street on the other side of the group of droids, she could see several figures. Most of them were Foot ninjas, and the other two were Xever and Bradford.

"Kraang, and Fishface, and Dogpound?" Raph said, beaming. "I must be dreamin', pinch me!" A second later, he let out a loud, "Ow!" when Mikey reached up and pinched his cheek. Raph glared down at his sibling and smacked his head.

"Ow! You said...!" Mikey whined.

The mutants from the other side let out loud yells as they ran forward. Pepper and her bros drew their weapons and ran at the Kraang as well. The Kraang didn't seem to know who to focus on, so they just started firing back and forth. Pepper snapped open her crossbow and fired a bolt. It hit a droid right in the head, embedding itself. The droid fell as she ran up and snatched the bolt out, reloading it back into the crossbow. She slid forward on her knees, knocking a droid onto its back. She kicked the gun from its hands and sliced its head off. From behind, she heard quick footsteps, knowing it was a Foot ninja. She pulled her crossbow trigger as she turned around, but the ninja blocked it with his katana. She drew her swords and held them up in time to block the blade as it came toward her head. She shoved the ninja back and swept her leg beneath him, knocking him down.

She turned to see a Kraang-droid run at their large truck and grab something from the back. The disrupter. The droid picked it up and aimed it at Mikey.
