Ever tried to attack a full grown, angry lion?

Well, that's how Pepper felt in this moment. Except, instead of a lion, they'd be up against Sensei. No difference, really.

"Okay, here's the plan," Pepper whispered into their huddle. "Donnie, you're gonna strike first."

"No, wait, you want me to come at Splinter?" Donnie hissed incredulously. "I'll get pummeled!"

"Well, getting pummeled is your specialty," Raph said, smirking as Donnie glared at him.

"Trust me. It's all part of my plan to catch Sensei off guard," Pepper assured them.

"Uh, Pepper..." Mikey said. "Don't take this wrong way, but against Splinter, your plans always get our butts whipped."

Pepper scowled down at his little brother. "Okay, new thought: Mikey, you attack."

Mikey's face remained neutral as he turned to look at Leo and Donnie. "She took it the wrong way."

Leo shrugged. "Eh, you asked for it."

"Enough talk! Let's do this!" Raph said enthusiastically.

Pepper gave her brothers a small nod. They stood, carefully splitting from their huddle. Slowly and carefully, they all started approaching Sensei, who stood in the middle of the room, back to them. They started to surround him, forming a wide circle around him. He turned to face them, eyes still closed. He spread his feet, taking a pose. Let's do this.

Mikey charged, jumped up, and tried to kick Sensei with both feet. Sensei opened his eyes. It was as though everything was happening in slow motion. He turned around, grabbed Mikey's feet, and threw him to the ground. He kicked him in the chest, sending the turtle flying across the floor. The other four had charged Sensei by that point. Raph had already jumped up and was coming down, both fists raised. Sensei ducked Raph's punch, and moved aside when Donnie aimed a kick for him and missed. Pepper sprinted forward, attempting a spinning back kick, but Sensei hit her leg. Off balance, she tripped and fell, landing on one knee.

Leo ran up and tried to kick Sensei, who ducked. Donnie ran up and aimed a kick at Sensei, but he just ducked under it, shot his arm out, and knocked Donnie off of his feet. Donnie spun in the air before Sensei kicked him out, sending him into Raph, and both brothers fell. Leo ran forward, Sensei's head turned away from him. He jumped up, somersaulting over Sensei's head. He landed in front of him and swung up his leg to kick him. But he grabbed Leo's ankle, swung his foot out, and knocked Leo off his feet. He fell with a thud, his side hitting the ground. Pepper was the only one left standing. She charged Sensei, who swung out his arm, missing as Pepper rolled under it. She drew back her fist and swung it forward. There came a loud smack as her fist collided with her sensei's face.

Her jaw dropped in shock. She couldn't believe it. She'd hit Sensei! That's never happened before. None of them had ever been able to lay so much as a finger on Sensei without him throwing them to ground. Her eyes widened in horror. "Ah! Sensei, I'm sorry! I--"

She was cut off as Sensei grabbed her wrist and flipped her over. She landed hard on the ground, chest to the floor. Sensei held her wrist up to keep her pinned and lifted his free arm, hand forming a fist.

"Uh-oh," she heard Leo mutter.

"Oh, man, Pepper's a goner!" Donnie said worriedly.

"Oh no-de do-de!" Mikey exclaimed.

There came a small pause.

Then Sensei lowered his fist and released Pepper. "Well done, Pepper," he said proudly. "But just when you had the advantage, you hesitated. And that made you vulnerable."
