Ang gwapo!

Hindi ko mapigilan ang mapa titig sa lalaking nasa harap ko.

"Miss Lopez?"

Napakurap ako. Kinakausap nya nga pala ako.

"Yes, I'm sorry." I awkwardly laugh.

Ngumiti sya sa akin. "No problem. My name is Attorney de Guia. You talked to my secretary yesterday." Ang lagom ng boses nya, lalaking lalaki. Starstruck ako kasi para syang artista. He shines like Jiyong. Alam mong celebrity ang dating. I got intimidated a little when I saw him behind his desk.

I was taken back. Nahiya ako bigla dahil hindi man lang ako nag-ayos. Nag pulbo at nag liptint lang ako. I mean, sana man lang mas naging presentable ako. Na conscious ako bigla sa harap nya.

I nod. "Yes." Ang tanging nasagot ko.

Nasa office nya kami ngayon. He's the lawyer that boss Martin refered to me.

He asked to see the documents that I want him to review. Pwede naman sana ito online but I insisted na gawing personal. I personally want to know the lawyer handling things for me.

I told him na hindi ko pa sya kailangan na maging retainer but soon, I might. Sa ngayon, per contract na lang muna since I just need legal advices sometimes. He explained some terms to me. All in all, he adviced na okay naman ang contract pero mas okay kung gagawin ko na muna na two years ang franchise rather than sa minimum nila sa three years.

Nang matapos na kami ay tumingin sya sa orasan nya.

"I didn't notice it's already lunch time. Would you want to have lunch with me? I know a good place nearby." Out of the blue ay sabi nya.

Napa awang ang labi ko sa gulat. "H-ha?"

"Do you have other plans for lunch, Miss Lopez?"

Umiling ako.

"I'd love it if you can eat lunch with me. Let me get to know my new client. Hmm?" Malapad ang ngiti nya. He put his hands into his pants pocket.

"S-sure,"

Para akong robot na sumunod lang sa kanya lumabas.

"Jess, I'll eat lunch outside. Baka late na ako makabalik. Push back any schedule, okay?" Rinig kong sabi nya sa secretary nya sa labas ng office nya.

Sumunod lang ako sa kanya sa elevator.

"Do you have any food allergies? Is it okay if we eat steak?" Maya maya ay tanong nya habang nasa loob na kami ng elevator. He pushed the button for the parking.

"W-wala naman. It's fine," Nahihiya pa rin kasi ako sa kanya. Medyo nakaka intimidate sya. I felt this kind of feelings when Jiyong approaches me before.

He opened the door of his dark blue Subaru para maka sakay ako bago sya umikot at sumakay sa driver's seat.

"So, are you just writing scripts full time, or do you have other jobs?" He did not waste any time. Okay lang naman sa akin, pabor nga na makilala ko rin ang lawyer ko.

"For now. But ayan nga, I plan to have a business kaya I needed your help. I don't want to jump into it na wala akong alam kaya I need a legal aspect of it."

"I see. It's a practical mindset." He's focused on driving.

"Do you usually handle cases like this?"

"Yeah, our firm handles corporate cases and things like that. That's our specialty."

"I see,"

"Martin told me to take extra care of you. One of the best writer ka raw nya,"

Natawa ako. "Huh, he said that? We're just working per contract, actually. Close kayo ni boss Martin?"
