 "S-she told you that?" Ang tanging nasabi ko.

He stopped moving at stared at me. "Why didn't you tell me? Bakit umuwi ka agad? What happened?" Malumanay ang boses nya but he's demanding answers.

I swallowed. "S-sorry,"

He pulled back and curled his arms into his chest. "I don't want your apology. I want to hear your explanation."

"G-gusto kitang i-surprise, pero sumama ulit ang pakiramdam ko so I went home."

"Really? Sa sama ng pakiramdam mo, you still had the energy to go to a wine bar last night." May pang-aakusa sa boses nya.

Holyshit. I didn't think of that. Nag post pala ako ng myday!

Yumuko na lang ako. "Sorry,"

"Who are you with last night? Are you alone?"

Umiling ako.

"Sino nga kasama mo?"

"A friend." Shit!

"The name of this friend." Mariin na tanong ni Jiyong.

Unti unti kong inangat ang mukha ko at tiningnan sya. Naka titig pa rin sya sa akin.

I swallowed. "You probably don't know."

"Don't I know Kayel? Hmm?"

Pwede bang bumuka ang lupa at lamunin na ako? Nanlamig ako. I was caught off guard. Hell, we're not supposed to see each other today! Hindi ko napaghandaan ito.

Hindi ko kaya ang titig nya kaya umiwas ako ng tingin.

I heard him sigh. "I'm going to understand whatever this is, Savannah. Just let me understand. What happened yesterday? Last night?" He's holding himself back.

Hindi ako makapag salita.

I saw him put his two hands on the table, clenched.

"Just tell me because I have been going crazy thinking of the possible explanations since last night. I haven't had a wink of sleep. There's an acceptable explanation, right?"

"I went there alone. We just saw each other coincidently." Matigas na sagot ko. I clasped my hands under the table. Ayoko magsinungaling but I also don't want the situation to get worse.

"Yeah? Then what about going to the set and just leaving?"

"Sinabi ko na, hindi ba? Sumama ang pakiramdam ko. And then last night, I just had the urge to go out kasi okay na pakiramdam ko."

"And not answer my call?"

I groaned. "Why is that a big deal? You're here right now, diba?"

His lips pursed and he got this strange expression on his handsome face.

"My phone's on my bag," Pahabol ko pa. It probably won't make this conversation better but I just had to say it.

"You're seriously going to lie to me?" He pointed at himself.

"I am not lying," Oh god.

He sighed. "I'm not going to leave until we sort this out,"

Inirapan ko sya. "Bakit ba ang tigas ng ulo mo? Wala ka bang ibang lakad ngayon?"

"I have a meeting but like I said, I am not leaving until we sort this out."

Humalukipkip rin ako. "I don't know what to tell you,"

He flicked his tongue. "What's happening with you? Did I do something wrong? You know that you can always tell me whatever it is so I don't know why you're being difficult." Mahinahon na ulit ang boses nya but there's still a hint of desperation.
