James reaches his second trimester on the morning of his second doctor's appointment. He has officially made it through his first trimester and his nausea has begun to fade ever so discreetly. He waits outside of his apartment block, his jacket tucked under his arm, waiting for Regulus' sleek black car to appear.

He feels a little bloated today, his physique less lean. James is beginning to wonder if this is what the second trimester means; waking up one day with slight weight gain and then immediately growing bigger.

But James wants to look on the positive side; he had been able to stomach his cereal and that is a victory in his mind.

Regulus' car eventually drives up the street, in all it's shiny and dim, blacked out windows glory. He unlocks the doors and James moves to the side of the passenger seat, sitting into the car and closing the door firmly behind him.

Music plays through the radio and Regulus moves his hand to lower the volume, but James halts him. "Hold on, I like this song," He says quickly.

Regulus smiles a little. "Good morning to you too," He greets. He reaches for the volume dial and turns the music up, just a little.

You could have a change of heart. If you would only change your mind, instead of slamming the phone, girl, for the hundredth time

James grins, relaxing into the passenger seat. He hums along with the music. "I got your number on my wall, but I ain't gonna make that call," He hums softly. He turns to Regulus. "I really like Def Leppard. You seem to listen to them a lot, why don't we name the baby Hysteria?" He muses.

Regulus snorts. "Yeah? How about Photograph?" He suggests and James laughs. He glances at James, hands firm on the steering wheel. "You're in an awfully good mood this morning,"

"It's the first morning in weeks that I haven't thrown up my cocoa pops," James laughs softly. "It's a good day,"

"I'm glad to hear that," Regulus replies. He hesitates. "Any other big things I should know about?"

James shrugs, squinting. "I got married in the four days we haven't seen one another. Does that satisfy you?" He jokes.

Regulus offers a small laugh. He smirks a little, rolling his eyes and James swears that it is in a fond manner. "Don't be so stupid. I meant in the baby sense,"

When divided we stand, baby. United we fall. Got the time, got a chance, gonna make it, got my hands on your heart, gonna take it. All I know, I can't fight this flame.

James hums. I meant in the baby sense. He has shut Regulus out for long enough. This is Regulus trying to peek into what James has neglected to tell him. He shrugs once more, deciding to open up, to let Regulus in without him having to ask for it. "I'm not nauseous anymore," James says. "I...I feel a little bigger today too," He adds softly.

"Bigger?" Regulus repeats.

James hums. "I feel bloated, I guess," He says. "It could be the beginnings of a baby bump, or it might be because I was able to eat my cocoa pops uninterrupted," He tries to joke, offering Regulus a small smirk. He pauses, thinking. "Either way, things are starting to change,"

Things are starting to change in ways that James had not anticipated them to. Granted, he had always known that pregnancy was no walk in the park, but he hadn't known that his body showing the starting signs of his baby was going to feel so strange.

You could have a change of heart  If you would only change your mind. 'Cause I'm crazy 'bout you, baby. Time after time. Without you, one night alone is like a year without you, baby. Do you have a heart of stone? Without you, can't stop the hurt inside. When love and hate collide.
