We all make it in time to see miss Steele's security shoot the guy that's choking her to death in the head and he falls slowly to the floor with him holding his stranglehold on her throat. She isn't breathing. I call mom and tell her we have an emergency. Jason confirms the guy is dead. Anastasia isn't breathing but has a pulse.

Anastasia
I see my mom, dad and brother and I smile at them. I am joining you this time. They tell me not yet and disappear. I hear noises and Ireland is crying saying she should have shot the guy. It's not your fault. It's whoever the guy was. I hear yelling and everything moving fast and dr Grey saying things and I just want to sleep. They keep waking me up and shaking me I hurt bad in my throat and I can't breathe at all. I am seeing bright lights and I hear everything and then nothing at all.

Gideon
Ireland he was after both of you. She sent us the help me signal just like you did. She saved your life because she sent her code for help to her security and he was blocked by the guys accomplice. Scott was blocked by an Elizabeth Morgan who now in police custody. Jack Hyde died on the floor of a women's portable restroom lounge. What a place to die huh? I hold Ireland and tell her unless you can pull a trigger to protect yourself and your friend from being killed you are not going to carry a gun.

Ireland
He takes my purse with my gun and hands it his security. Christian is here to see Anastasia. She hasn't regained consciousness since she collapsed on the bathroom floor. They had to repair her throat. Jack Hyde apparently followed me from New York. Gideon had him fired for cause at his publishing house. So he came after me and I told Anastasia about him, but we had no idea he had an accomplice. Elizabeth Morgan covered up his sexual assaults of the women that worked there and the female authors.  So he came after me and Anastasia protected me from him. She got us clear of the rest of the guests to prevent more bloodshed. She told me to hide in the stall until she signaled the all clear. We didn't know about Elizabeth stalling security.

Why are either of you carrying guns to begin with? Neither of you are professionals or know how to deal with men like Hyde or women like Elizabeth Morgan.

Gideon
You don't know Anastasia very well do you?

What does that mean?

Gideon
I think that's something she should tell you. She might not tell you at all. I met her father and I was in her home and let's just say there is more there than meets the eye. She handled the whole situation the way she needed to, she just didn't know about Morgan. If she had Hyde would have been taken down differently and Morgan would be dead as well. They found a weapon on her as well as one on Jack. He didn't expect Anastasia to have a gun and use it on him. He knew Ireland wouldn't use her gun though. Christian if you had been in her home you would have seen all the awards for her shooting skills and her self defense skills. She let Hyde get her by the throat to make sure he was busy with her until her security arrived.

Okay I guess you are right there is more to her than meets the eye. Anastasia opens her eyes and starts coughing and crying. Her hands are grasping her ventilator. I press the call button and everyone comes running when the alarm goes off. They take out the tube and tell her not to talk.

Dr Howard Hutton
I look over my patient and tell her not to talk because she needs to heal her throat. I check her and tell the nurse to give her some water and allow small sips for now. She takes a tiny sip and a couple more and I give her a pad and pencil to write what she needs. What she needs is to not be hurt and to go feed her cats. I laugh and tell her I understand that. I remind her to get rest.

Anastasia writes various things to each of us and Christian reads what is said each time. He has found out a lot today about Anastasia. Not many pilots have flown military aircraft without being in the military. I am looking at one of them. Ray could find a way for little Anastasia to learn how to do almost anything. She of course couldn't legally get her licenses to fly until she was of age. I had a lot of digging done and found a lot of licenses and passports. Anastasia is a legal resident of Seattle, but dig deeper and she has more than one citizenship in other countries. I realized that Carla was not born in the United States. That's another story.

I think that I need better background checks or checkers. Welch and Barney missed all of this. I might not have asked the right questions. Mom said that Anastasia has no next of kin or emergency contacts except her staff. Ray was her last blood relative and she lost him not long ago. Gideon was there for her and brought her into the ER after she passed out and nearly hit her head because she hadn't eaten for three plus day and hadn't had any water either. She had been trying to get her mother and fathers affairs in order. Plus she wanted a special headstone for them. I found out that her neighbors killed her mother and they had only found her body, well bones of her mother and her baby brother when the new owners found something that needed the police to investigate it.
