The little girl looked so much like Anastasia and she bonded so quickly with her. Kate and Elliott didn't think long on adopting Edward Carrick Grey. Christian was a bit torn but he finally decided after he held her and she fell asleep after crying long and hard. It was like both these babies were meant to be theirs. Colleen Daisy Grey was named after grandmother Steele. She definitely looked like she belonged to Anastasia. Her baby photos were the same.

Leave it to my wife to be in the right place at the right time. We have two new adopted grandchildren born two days after our Nina and Bells. We are having a family get together for them. The Kavanagh family would like Gideon to bring the triplets but he said no. Denise said no, Ireland said no as well. She finally married Thomas Sawyer, Denise's brother. I guess he finally fell in love with her after she ignored him completely. It was fun to watch that. She chased until he caught her. We got everything done in 2 months on the adoptions. Their was a bit of a glitch in the family search. It turns out that the homeless girl was somehow related to Anastasia but older than her. They ran DNA and Anastasia had hers in the system for good reasons.

When I got the surprising news that Colleen is my niece I asked to verify that the mother was my sister because I now have a mystery to solve. I need to go back through my father and mothers documents. I barely found the ones I needed for the funeral, company and military documents. I didn't look further into anything else. The mother was my full sibling. I had to tell Kate and Elliott, I assured them that I would never tell Edward or take him from them. At least we know he is a Steele. We don't know the father or fathers of the babies. According to DNA tests they have different fathers. Grace says that can happen. Now little Carla has a potential playmate. We have to remind her that she can't pick her sister up. The nanny and the mannies make sure they watch Colleen closely. She is such a tiny thing.

Christian
Elliott and Kate were relieved to get the documents from us to assure we wouldn't take their son from them since he is Anastasia's biological nephew. We wanted to put them at ease and we know they are wonderful parents and will be to Edward. Plus they will always be with family. It was fate that everything happened the way it did. When they are old enough we might have a conversation about telling them, but at this point we think we should keep it under wraps. There was a folder that was hidden from Anastasia behind a painting that her dad told her to never move and didn't explain to her. So she found a nursery that had been covered with tarps and a dresser full of clothing for a baby. In a metal file cabinet was a birth certificate and then a death certificate for seven years later. A bunch of news clipping about the Steele baby being kidnapped from the hospital and no clues as to who took her. They never found the body and no ransom was asked for. Apparently her dad had never given up trying to find his daughter. Whoever did it took the baby away right after it's birth and was dressed as a medical professional. This was the only explanation from the hospital. The Steele's were given a settlement and never touched a penny of it. So it accumulated a lot of interest over the years. Anastasia never knew what the account was for. Her sister was three years older than she was. It was hard for her parents to conceive so it was a great loss of Thea Marie Steele. Anastasia had a private ceremony for Thea Marie Steele and laid her to rest by her parents and her brother.

Elliott
Christian is the one to tell me about our new son is actually son of her older sister. A sister she had no idea existed. He said the documents he is handing me give me and Kate all rights to our son Edward. Only if absolutely necessary the truth of who is mother was will be kept privately between us parents and attorneys. I read through the documents and I decide not to upset Kate with this news and place them in my safe under all my other files. Christian and I discuss the build of a new office building he wants for GEH when Kate appears with our children. Christian hugs our daughter and says he misses her face. She tells him she's busy taking care of her brudder. He just smiles and nods in understanding.

Kate
Elliott and Christian had a very serious look on their faces when they were looking at the file folder he arrived with and now is nowhere in sight. Something is up and they don't want my pregnant butt to know about it. I will find out and soon. Elliott has the same hiding place and it won't take me long to find the file and read it. I will wait until I am less tired to read the file.

A month later I relax and open the folder after Elliott has had enough time to fall into an alcoholic coma from having a guys night in his mens cave. He has these once a month and we limit the alcohol consumption and make sure they are driven home along with their cars. Christian has his own ride home. I finally get through everything and wished I had started with the document that gives us all rights to Edward from the only living blood relative Anastasia Grey. I am not sure if I would have done the same thing. Elliott hiding this from me was a little silly, he should have just told me right out about Anastasia not taking Edward from us and signing the document to say as much. He is very worried about my pregnancy. This is my third attempt to carry to full term. I lost two others and we kept those quiet, but both my mom and Grace knew as soon as I lost them. Edward brought us such joy. Now we have another baby on the way. We are praying this one makes it. I understand my husbands fears for me and the baby I am carrying.
