No Prenuptial

All hell broke loose when I called Christian in to show him the prenuptial agreement that I drew up for Anastasia to sign. He told me to tear it up because he will not ask her to sign it. He grabbed it and ripped it to shreds and told me not to upset Anastasia by mentioning it. Apparently her pregnancy is in a delicate balance because of her size. She doesn't eat much and stress causes her to stop eating and he expects me to understand that because of Grace's history of miscarriages.They will never forgive me if I upset her enough to lose their twins. She is on partial bed rest.

Christian
Anastasia looked upset when dad called me into his office. He told her he only wanted to talk to me. She looked at me and I kissed her and told her not to worry. I knew when he pulled out a folder he had went behind my back and prepared a prenuptial agreement. After I told him that I will not ask Anastasia to sign a prenuptial agreement at all. Dad tries to argue his points with me , but before I know it I grab the papers and rips them to shreds. I tell him if this is all, he actually asks me the ultimate stupid question. Are the twins mine? Who does that? I tell him I know they are mine but to make sure he has no way of trying to cause me to have marital issues I will get Anastasia to allow for paternity and maternity tests. You know that way she can pretend to be pregnant and not be.

Grace
I can tell that it didn't go well in the office so I just leave it alone for now. Mia arrives with Barney and I have to go check on dinner and I also need a sip of something to calm my nerves. Dinner is finally ready and I send someone to get Carrick. Not Christian though. Anastasia is fretting about what happened in the office and he's trying to console her. Finally we are all sitting at the dinner table and the food is being passed around and I see tears in Anastasia's eyes. Christian is whispering to her about not worrying that no matter what happens she is family. Finally I blow up at Carrick and tell him to apologize to both Anastasia and Christian immediately. He knows my take no prisoners voices. So he apologizes to both Christian and Anastasia and he means it.

Anastasia
Now I feel worse about everything. Carrick apologized but the fact he demanded Christian have me sign the prenuptial agreement made me very upset. They have known me and my family by reputation for a long time. It hurts me that they would believe I am a gold digger. I heard a comment about the two engagement rings and Christian informed everyone that the one was his biological grandmother's engagement ring that his mother had hidden away in one of his toy cars and told him to never let it out of his sight. It was for him to give to his wife. So he did and then bought a new one for me because it was being sized and the other one was available in my size. He didn't want me to wait for it. He gave me both.

Why would you demand Anastasia sign a prenuptial agreement and not me? Elliott squirms.

He demanded the same thing of me, but I refused and I told him that I wasn't going to find anyone I loved as much as I did you and that I didn't care if you didn't have the same kind of money I have. The young ladies in those groups aren't anyone I would look at twice. You luckily didn't have to see the fallout like Anastasia has tonight. I am sorry Anastasia. Oh Barney if you want to marry Mia be ready for the prenuptial agreement

I think that I have that covered. I make more on my patents than my salary and a prenuptial will prevent any wife I have from getting those from me. Christian had his attorneys get one ready just for that reason. It protects his contracts with me for using the patents for anything he deems to not be taken from him because they might end up divided in half. He is definitely looking out for me, his company and all his employees by doing that. But I can also tell you that Anastasia has patents as well and we already have access to them and because she is generous she charges very little to use them. She could easily play hardball and get what the markets going price is for them. But Christian is her husband and what helps him helps his company and his employees and in the long end her.

That's the most I have ever heard from him and I am very proud of him for speaking up to my father on behalf of Anastasia.

Christian
Okay everyone Anastasia and I got married the night of Kate and Elliott's wedding I proposed to her and asked her to seal the deal in Vegas and Jason and Gail were our witnesses. Anastasia is four months along with our twins. I don't want her upset at all because the doctor said she is a high risk pregnancy. She is on partial bed rest now and I don't want it to become full bed rest.

I think congratulations is in order and welcome to the family Anastasia, not that you weren't already a member of the family. I am sorry about Carrick being the ultimate attorney and papa bear. I hug her and Christian and everyone else gets up and hugs them both. Carrick finally hugs Anastasia and begs her forgiveness and Christian's as well. I was still angry at Carrick for going against my wishes and asking  Christian anyway. My children will not lose the women or men they love over money.
