'Damn her,' I groaned when her nails dug into my skin. "...I look forward to it."

Cassandra smirked at my reaction before nuzzling me again. "Good girl."

"You're the worst," I laughed, tightening my hold on her. "Music?"

"The muses can handle it, right?"

"If I ask, there's a significant possibility that they will. Do you want them to?"

"I just don't want Mother or Isa to work during our wedding day."

"Good luck making sure Isa doesn't."

"I'm sure Dani can keep them busy," Cassandra chuckled, making me roll my eyes.

"Defaulting to Dani? Really?"

"Should I not? She's the easiest route. Plus, someone has to dress Costin for it."

I laughed and kissed her head. "Hunter would do that instead. She loves dressing him up — it's why she loves Halloween so much."

Cassandra hummed and traced circles on my arm with her nail. "I thought as much. Who's going to wear a dress?"

"Ugh."

"Agreed."

We giggled before she stole a kiss. "It has been a while since I saw you in a suit, though."

"Oh? Did you like it last time?"

'It took everything in me not to try and have sex with you that night, so yeah, I liked it,' I nodded and ran my fingers through her hair. "Loved it. So, when was the last time you saw me in a dress?"

"That wasn't a maid outfit?! Uhm," She trailed before pouting. "It's been a while."

"...If you're good, maybe I'll change that. Not for our wedding, though. Not when my aunt will want to get my outfit for me."

"That bad?"

"If I told her what I wanted? Probably not. Am I going to muster up the courage to talk to her about what I want? No."

Cassandra snorted and kissed my cheek. "You're lucky you're cute."

"I get that a lot."

"From who?! I better be the only woman calling you cute."

"...What about my family?"

"They don't count," Cassandra grumbled, letting her fangs graze my cheek as a warning. "Any maids ever say it to you?"

"None that are alive — and never when we started dating."

"I would've killed the others if I had known."

"You're possessive," I pointed out with a smirk.

"...I'm telling Isa to kick your ass."

"They couldn't, even if you gave them everything they requested. The reason? They're a soft baby that could never harm their big sister."

"I'll get Dani to ask them. They'll do anything for her."

"...You might have a point there," I muttered with a slight pout. "That's no way to treat the love of your immortal life!"

"I'll always make it up to you," Cassandra promised and pecked my lips. "Hm, what about cake?"

"...Uhm. Let's revisit that."

"Can't decide?"

"My aunt would kill us if we didn't do cake testing."

"Who will bake them all?"

"My grandmother, Demeter," I smiled, playing with strands of her hair. "My aunt, Hestia, she'll handle keeping us calm."

"How?" Cassandra hummed, purring as she leaned into my touch. "You should play with my hair more often."

"She's the goddess of hearth and home, she knows how to keep people calm and make them feel at home. You could've said that anytime, and I would've done it. Shall we stay like this for a bit?"

"Keep playing with my hair, and absolutely."

We giggled as I focused on her hair again, running my fingers through it, braiding small sections only to undo them a moment later, and kissing the occasional strand of hair. Cassandra purred the entire time, her eyes fluttering shut while she snuggled into my chest. 'Adorable,' I cooed when her purring continued as she fell asleep. 'How can this be forbidden? Just because Cass is a vampire? Dionysus made a mortal woman immortal because of their love.'

My eyes shut as I held Cassandra closer, a smile stretching across my face when her shaking stopped. 'She's no longer shivering. Her temperature's back to normal.' Relief washed over me before sleep did, a happy smile on my face as I drifted to dreamland.

When I woke again, it was to Cassandra and someone else talking, making me yawn and open an eye. 'Costin?' My eye focused on the five-year-old as he nodded, raising an eyebrow when he ran off. 'What was that about?' Cassandra buried her face in my neck again after he left, returning to the purring she was doing earlier.

"Go back to sleep," She muttered against my neck. "I can tell you're awake."

"What were you and Costin talking about?" I yawned, letting my eye close again. "I'll go back to sleep soon."

"I was telling him that we were napping and we'd have lunch later. I also promised him he could spend tomorrow with us."

"A chance to spoil my nephew and you? I'll take it."

"Then get back to your nap." I rolled my eyes behind my eyelids before sleep welcomed me again — thankful it didn't take long.

"[Y/N]," Cassandra whispered, kissing my back as her hand smoothed over the scratches she left. "Wake up, baby."

"Again?" I groaned and rolled over, laughing when she playfully smacked my arm. "Come here."

"You're mean," She huffed and snuggled into my arms. "How does it feel?"

"Hm?"

"Being able to call me your wife now."

"A dream come true," I smiled and connected our lips in a loving kiss.

Cassandra smiled, even as I broke the kiss, and traced my jaw with her index finger. "After countless years."

"Our dream finally came true."

"...So, another round?" The vampire giggled as she straddled my lap.

I smirked and sat up to connect our lips again. "How many is this now?"

"Stopped counting after ten."

"Baby," Cassandra whispered, pecking my lips. "Get up before Isa storms in here and forces you to eat."

My eyes fluttered open before I stole a kiss from the vampire. "You woke me before the good part."

"Oh? Mind sharing the details?"

"Later," I promised. "For now, we need to eat."

"Agreed," Cassandra hummed and sat up. "Come on, Mother's on her way."

"I think it's time I stop hoarding her daughter then."
