After eating, I went back to my room and plopped down on the cushy bed. My back cracked when I fully laid back, and it felt so nice. I texted Trey, asking when I'd be able to work again. He had told me I would be able to start back up at work whenever I felt I was ready.

I appreciated Trey's kindness throughout the entire mishap. I mean, yes, he did in fact blame me for why that man freaked out, but regardless of that, he's been supportive. He hasn't been at the café much in the past few weeks, but from the time he's been there, he's been good about not drinking.

I told Trey I would work under one condition, which is that Trey cannot leave me alone, and the second he hears something from the sale area, he has to come running. Trey accepted, apologizing for not being there to help when I needed him while dealing with the creepy guy.

I would be working tomorrow night since Trey was covering my shift for tonight already. Trey said that the creepy guy hadn't come back, at least not while he'd been working. I informed Corbin about the status update regarding my employment at the café.

The last thing I had to do before I got to my homework and relaxed for the evening was to call Officer Woods. I typed in his phone number and called.

I told him where I was staying and what had happened with the man at the café. Officer Woods asked for video footage, so I would have to get that from Trey tomorrow. All in all, I had everything settled with work and the police.

Time to get back to my normal. I pulled my backpack closer to the bed and took out my school laptop and some folders. I needed to get caught up with everything in my classes so I could pass this school year.

It would really blow if I failed senior year.

I started with trigonometry, getting my pencil and scrap paper out. I don't want to brag, but I'd say I'm good at math. I don't like math, but I'm good at it. While working on the problems, Mia's kitten jumped up onto the bed.

We had gone through a unit and a half since I started skipping school, so I had a lot to catch up on. After about an hour, I only had a quarter of my work done since the teacher assigned at least one new worksheet every day.

I was told his name was Buttermilk; Butter was his nickname. He became a loaf beside me while I did my work, he was the best study buddy.

I needed to take a break from trig, or else my head would explode out of boredom. I set aside my trigonometry stuff and opened my laptop. I went to the PowerPoint my English teacher assigned us to help us learn how to write expository, argumentative, and persuasive essays.

She wanted us to write six essays: two would be expository, two would be argumentative, and two would be persuasive. Why did she make us do so many things? I don't know. I think maybe it's because English is boring, and she didn't have enough material to last us until the end of the semester.

I started with writing one of each kind of essay to keep me from getting burned out on them. Another hour and a half went by, and I only had two essays done.

I laid back on my bed, using pillows to prop me up. I had my laptop in my lap with my legs propped up as well, so the laptop could be easier to reach.

I wrote my essays for another hour before stopping for the night. I got some good work done today. Very productive. I couldn't stop thinking about how my emotions did a complete one eighty compared to last night.

I left my bedroom, leaving Butter sleeping on my bed, and went to the bathroom to take a shower before sleeping. After my shower, I dressed in nothing but shorts since it was only me, Mia, and Chloe here. I walked to the kitchen, where I grabbed a granola bar as a before-bed snack.
