"Nice of you two to finally show up." The creep hummed, looking at Corbin.
"The fuck are you doing here, Lucas?" Corbin said deeply. I looked up at Corbin with confusion washing my face. He knew the creep? The fuck?
"I'm here to see you, of course." The creep, also known as Lucas, stated. He turned his body to face Corbin and I head on. Corbin put his arm behind him to hold me.
I stared in terror as the man made eye contact with me. Those same eyes were the ones that glared at me during work—the same eyes that watched as I was threatened by their owner.
"You need to get the fuck out," Corbin demanded.
"Oh, so you can happily fuck the child behind you?" Lucas looked deranged as he spoke.
"You have five seconds to leave the fucking building before I call security to force you out." He threatened the Creep. I hugged myself out of fear. I had never heard Corbin so mad before. His voice, even though seemingly calm, boomed through the hallway we were in.
"Call security, I don't care. But if I get thrown out, then so should he." Lucas said, lifting his hand to point directly at me.
"Leave him out of this." I knew Corbin's patience was running thin with this man, but I wish I knew why. What was their history? Was the sole reason for the break ins because I knew Corbin? I had so many questions.
"Leave him out? But hunny, he's the reason I'm here," Lucas smiled maniacally. "The boy you dragged into this unholy lifestyle is just that, a boy."
I couldn't do anything but stay behind Corbin. The fucking creep was going to ruin everything. In a way, he already has. He ruined my work environment, he ruined my home, and now he's come to ruin the last stability I have; Corbin.
The creep moved away from leaning against the wall and made slow steps toward us. "This kid doesn't deserve you, he lied to you for godsakes!" He shouted like a psycho.
"Lucas, I'm giving you one more chance to leave," Corbin instructed calmly. I wished so hard for Corbin to force the man away, I didn't know why Corbin insisted on taking the calm route.
"No!" The man yelled, reaching behind him and pulling out a knife.
Corbin instinctively took a step back, moving me behind him completely out of sight of the offender. "Get Erick," Corbin whispered to me.
I turned and ran down the hallway toward the stairs. The stupid stairs slowed me down as I made my way to the bar. I pushed through the large crowd of people dancing and stopped at the front of the bar.
Ryan was nowhere to be seen, and I didn't know any of the other staff.
"Please, help!" I called out to one of the bartenders.
"What is it? Is something wrong?" The female bartender asked worriedly.
"Where's Erick? I need to find him!" I said with tears welling in my eyes. I was so fucking worried about Corbin. I knew Corbin could hold the creep off, but I wasn't sure of his safety while doing so.
"What happened? Why do you need Erick?" The girl asked, hesitant to get her boss.
"Please!" I said with a tear falling down my cheek.
"Okay, give me a second to grab him," she responded, turning to leave the bar. She disappeared for a moment, then returned, with Erick following behind her.
"Leo? Is everything okay?" Erick asked, looking around behind me, I assumed to see where Corbin was.
"Just come!" I said, grabbing his hand and pulling him to the stairs. I brought him upstairs and down the hallway where Corbin and I had been. As we rounded the corner, Erick and I saw Corbin holding the creep against the wall.
