I am so sorry for disappearing for the last few months. I have been very busy with personal life matters. I've started my first year at college recently and I am absolutely swamped with midterms and such.
As for LAM, I am working on it. In my spare time, I've been adding bits and pieces, but I haven't had time to really sit down and write. I'm hoping that as I get into the semester, I can find I good routine that allows me enough free time for writing.
I'm trying to have the first 10 or so chapters completed before publishing any of them. I noticed that while writing LDB, there are certain plot holes or plot points that I wanted to remove/change or add upon, but I couldn't because I had already published them, and it wouldn't make sense for me to change chapters (And plot) That's already been read by my readers.
For this reason, I do plan to go back and edit LDB. I won't be taking much away, but I will definitely fix awkward scenes, dialogue, etc. I don't plan to do this for a while since I'm working on LAM at the moment.
Big Thank you to all you commenters out there who call me out on plot holes and spelling mistakes. As a new writer, it really does help me to fix things.
Thank you to everyone who has stuck with me through this journey of my first book. It's been rocky, but now all that's left is editing. Y'all are real troopers. <3
On a more personal note,
Through the production of LDB, we had to say our final goodbyes to a number of horses whom I'd worked with over the years due to old age. Let's just say, I didn't take it well. 🥲 My most recent lease horse has been taken on by another leaser, so I felt it was time I left the industry after almost 9 years of working and riding. Ending such a large part of my life has taken its toll on me.
And to my heart horse, the horse who carried me through highschool and into college, the bad days and the good days for the last 5 years, I am forever grateful.
