Continuation of Writer's POV

"Darasimi, what is wrong with you? Tell me exactly what your problem is?" Wura asked immediately Grace closed the door behind her
"Mum I'm fine and I'll be fine. I know Raymond will treat me right"
"And so? The company my dear is not worth trading your happiness for. Does a father do that to his child?"
"B...bu..but he said he'll divorce you if I don't go along with the wedding"
"My dear, he's just threatening you with that. He knows you have a soft heart which can easily be changed when pressured. There's no divorcee in my family and I'm not about to become one. Even if he brings the divorce papers I'll never sign them."
"Mum, let me do this for you, for us. I can't afford to lose you in all these. I've lost you once and I don't want to lose you again"
"Oko mi, womi (look at me). Nobody is losing anyone. Besides none of that was your fault, it was mine. I made my work a priority rather than facing my family. Please, let's not go through that route again"
"But your marriage to dad was an arranged one too and you both grew to love each other"
"Yes honey, but I can't pray that for you. We indeed grow to love each other but it wasn't easy." She advised
Sarah cut in, "Darasimi, mum is right and you know God is a wonderful Father who has our interest at heart. Have you forgotten your own words that you can never marry an unbeliever? What changed? Pressures and challenges of life? Have you forgotten that Jesus didn't come to give us a tribulation free life? It's a thing of joy when life throws all these things our way because we know that Jesus has already won the victory for us. So, you're denying Jesus because of marriage?"
"I'm not denying Jesus. I'm still a child of God and I'll forever be. It's my reality and I'm walking in it" she tried to defend herself
"Baby girl, I know that's what you'll say but we both know that's not true. Dear with your eyes wide open, you deliberately want to enter into a pit. Who does that?"
"It's not a pit Sarah, it's marriage. I'll pray to God and I believe He'll change him for Himself"
"Darasimi, that's the most stupid thing that has ever come out of your mouth since I've known you. You know I'm your sister and if I can't tell you the truth that makes me a bad person. See marriage doesn't change people, It's only God that does. The Scripture says, "The heart of the king is in God's hands and as streams of water, He turns it whithersoever He wills.
Why do you want to go for half-baked bread when you can have a fully baked one or even own the bakery? I pray that the Lord open your eyes and heart to see what you're doing right now. But know that, no matter your decision I'll be by your side. But be rest assured, I won't stop praying for you."
"Thank you very much, Sarah" Wura thanked her and hugged both girls reassuring them that all will be well even though it doesn't look like it yet.
Sarah called Grace back into the office and they discussed the needful while fixing the next two days for the wedding gown shopping.
Raymond's POV
"You've eaten and now you're at peace after destroying the life of an innocent woman." My subconscious mind scorned
"You again!!! UrrghI thought you're gone for good"
"What'll you gain out of this?"
"The woman I love"
"Who didn't love you in return? Why are you so bent on having your way?"
"Lol... That's a good question though. I think I find satisfaction in having my way. Do you understand? I guess not! See in my world, you either walk all over people or they walk over you and believe me, the latter is not nice"
"Wow, so walking over her is love? Well, for a great business tycoon that you are, you're so dumb when it comes to things like this. From what is happening, I'll say you're just obsessed with her and the thought of another man with her makes you angry."
"They wouldn't dare come near her. She's mine and I don't like to share"
"Exactly what I'm saying."
