"It's a beautiful morning
A glorious morning
The one Lord has made
You're blessed, today and forever " Wakie keeps ringing

I lazily managed to dismiss it in order to sleep some more, or so I thought, when it starts ringing some minutes later.

"Arrrrrrggghhhh, Wakie why now? It's 4am for crying out loud." I shouted into my pillow.

Oh, you're surprised that I named my alarm clock...

Well, sebi na my own (it's my own), abi nah yours (or is it yours)? And besides, you can't blame me for wanting to sleep more. I had vigil from 11p.m to 2.30a.m and since Sarah is around, she joined me. Only God knows when she'll wake up since she likes sleeping. So, most times, she sleeps overnight in my hostel, so she could get up on time for the day.

I remembered in our final year, on her last paper to be precised, she was doing yanga, she wanted to sleep in her bed without my chirping voice (as she said). The exam was scheduled for 7.30 in the morning but my friend wake up by 7a.m and starts rushing to the examination hall. Luckily for her, the lecturer invigilating was one of our uncles back then, so, he delayed giving booklets and  question paper to her colleagues, that would have been the end of that course for her.

I observed my quiet time and by the time I was done, there's this heaviness in my heart and I know it's concerning what dad wanted to see me for, so, I quickly said a word of prayer...

"Lord, I don't know what this issue is all about but You do, please have your way. Amen"

After prayer, I decided to go check up on Sandra in the visitor's bedroom. I was surprised when I saw that she's up already and was just rounding up her prayer.

"Good morning babe, how was your night?" she asked with a smile

"It was great and yours?"

"It was great too. I know you're surprised that I'm awake but you can't blame me for that, your alarm should be blamed.
OMG, it's too loud and I think the whole estate can hear it and you  better do something about it before they come and arrest you." she said dramatically

"At least, you're awake. So, that should be enough reason for me not to be arrested." I replied with a smile

"Whatever" she said and rolled her eyes

"What are you wearing to church? Or you want us to branch at your house, so you could change?" I asked

"I don't think so. I'll just find something to wear in your wardrobe and you better go and start preparing. It's after five already." she said as she checked her watch

"I just hope we don't get to church late." I said to myself as I rushed back into my room to start preparing for service.

Luckily for us when we get to church, they just started worker's meeting. I'm in the protocol department and any time I don't officiate, I join the children department. You can't blame me children are bundles of joy and I just love them. Sandra is a member of the Word department. I so much love listening to her when she talks. You know that there are certain people that are just endowed with divine wisdom. She's one of them. You can never regret talking to her. She loves with everything she has. It's her character that made me closer to Jesus.

Service was so great and I knew the message preached by the Pastor titled "Do not be Shaken, For I am with You" is for me. Oh, God is great. We only need to give our totality to Him and abide in His presence. I know in my heart that, what was coming my way is not something easy, it'll be a life changing issue, and since my totality is in God, I kept declaring His word, "God is with me, therefore, I'll not be shaken."

"Babe, what is wrong? I noticed that you've not been yourself since when I told you that dad wanted to see you" she asked with concern

"You remember the business party, right?" I asked and continued...

"I don't know what it is, but I'm sure dad wanting to see me is as a result of it."

"I don't understand babe" she said with a frown

"See, dad can fake a smile to anyone and they wouldn't even know it, but not me. He wasn't in a happy mood when he left the party and I'm quite sure, that's what he wanted to see me for" I said to her

"Try and be calm, okay? Or do you want me to drive you there?" she asked with concern

"Don't worry, I'll be fine. Let me drop you off and go there." I said to her

"Promise to call me when you're done. So that I can come over to your place" she said with a pout

"I'll try" I smiled at her

"You and your trying" she said and we both laughed

Oh, confession is so powerful. I kept confessing the words till I dropped Sandra at her apartment and drove to my parent's house...
