Chapter Seventeen

Bisade's POV

Only God knows how I got home that day. Oh! I remember, after Raymond's driver or whatever threw me out of his building i managed to call Toyin who came to pick me up since I didn't go with my car. I used to read it in the tabloids that Raymond is one powerful man but I guess I underestimated him or else how would he have digged out what I Bisade buried.

"What do I do now?" I asked myself

"You can as well give up and save yourself the headache and stress" my subconscious mind said

"You again??? I hate you!!!"

"Hahaha (laughing hysterically)... I am you, you're me, we're the same. Is that enough or should I go ahead with the list?"

"Whatever"

"Why are you so full of envy and grief? That girl has done nothing to you and yet you want to rip her off every good thing in her life."

"Blah blah blah..." I said as I lit up a cigarette and silenced the bitch up

I remembered that Toyin wants to introduce some guys to me who could be of help. So, I quickly went in to the bathroom, take my bath, dress up and left the apartment after locking the door.

On getting to the club I met Toyin who was already waiting for me and she told me about plan B. Since she's the only one I could trust, I was in support of the plan. We were gisting and enjoying ourselves when two guys joined us. On seeing the way Toyin was relating with them, I knew they're the ones she was talking about.

"Bisade meet Tonye and Tee. Guys, this is my friend I was telling you about" she introduced us

"Toyin you didn't tell me that your friend is one fine girl like this." Tonye said and winked at me

"Oh, you're not bad yourself" I replied with a smile

"Wow, wow... I like her, she's very straight forward" Tee said while looking at me as a lion looks at it's prey making me feel uncomfortable under his gaze

But I put up a bold face and asked, " So I guess you guys will do a good job then, right?"

"They're born for this, you don't have to worry yourself" Toyin reassured me

"What about your payment?" I asked and immediately regreted I asked them

"Since you're one fine babe, you go pay #1m (one million). You understand this things now" Tee replied with a wicked glint in his eyes

"How dare these idiots!" I muttered angrily

"You can still back out you know. This is too extreme and I'm really hoping I won't say 'I TOLD YOU SO' at the end" my stupid subconscious mind butted in

"Over my dead body! I won't back out until I destroy that bitch and everything she owns"

"Why are you so wicked? How can you harbour so much hate for someone who has done nothing but show you love? You're not human"

"Thanks for the wonderful conclusion" I snarled

"Deal" I said with gritted teeth to the two idiots in my front

Toyin said she has something to take care of, so she leaves me with the big morons. I know it's her way of excusing herself especially with the wink she gave me.

"Having regrets already?" Tee asked sarcastically
(I seriously hate his guts?

"Nope" I replied and hissed at him

"Tee abeg leave the poor babe. What's your own with her having regrets or not?" Tonye came to my rescue

"Thank you" I said to him and continued,
"Can we get this over and done with already? I have other things to take care of"

"Sure" they said in unison and we left the club

Raymond's POV

"Are you sure? Alright keep an eye on her" I replied and hanged up

"I never know she would draw her judgement day closer. I thought she has learnt her lesson but I think I guessed wrong. A manipulative man will always be manipulative no matter how much you polish her

At the same time in Adetoun's house, Mrs Adetoun received an email from the private investigator she hired. She had deliberately informed her assistant to give the private investigator her personal email so that her husband wouldn't know what she was up to.

Call it woman intuition or whatever, she was glad she made the decision to look out for her daughter
