Ever since Jesse left, Cola couldn't find herself to be alone. She felt that if she was alone, she would think of him and cry again. She's been wearing the same sweater he left for her, even though it's been a week. She's around Pacey more often, not to either of their complaints. They both needed someone after the departure of their lovers. Currently, she sat in the gym and watched as Pacey and Dawson played each other in a game of basketball. She sees Dawson start to walk away angrily.
"Come on. Pass me the ball, oompa loompa." Cola's jaw drops as Dawson quickly turns around, now super angry. No one had called him that since they were kids. He hated being called it.
"What did you just call me?" He storms up to him, but Pacey doesn't seem to understand what he said.
"I said cool it, oompa loompa." He rolls his eyes and turns around to try and talk to the cheerleaders. When he turns around to face Dawson, he throws a basketball right at his face. Pacey falls to the ground, clutching his nose. Cola jumps up, rushing over to the blonde first. She slaps him right in the face, making him clutch his face as well.
"Dawson, cool the fuck down." She glares at him before trying to rush over to Pacey, before being pulled away by the basketball coach.
"Dawson Leery and Cola Daniels, what has gotten into you two?" They try to explain what happened, but he didn't care. "You'll cool it off tomorrow in all-day detention." Their jaws drop as they look at each other, not looking forward to it at all.

The next day, Cola found out that Pacey also had detention too. They sat in the library together, reading books they had brought from home. Dawson broke Pacey's nose. His nose was now purple with a bandaid across the bridge. They're sitting there, bored out of their minds when they hear someone's voice.
"What are you doing here?" They look up and see Dawson and Jen looking at them. Pacey looks at Cola, annoyed. She rolls her eyes, looking back at her book. Jen lets out a gasp once she sees Pacey's nose. She walks over and sits at one of the heads of the table, the one closer to Pacey so she can get a better look at his nose. Dawson takes his time walking over, a glare still on his face. "How's your nose?" He asks and Pacey deadpans him.
"It's broken, thanks." Jen tries touching his nose, but he grabs her hand, pulling it away. She mutters sorry and says how it sucks.
"So, what are you two in detention for?" She asks, looking at the pair. Cola sighs, looking at Dawson who rolls his eyes and sits on the edge of the table, not facing them.
"Slapped Dawson in the face after what he did to Pacey." Jen nods, clearly not wanting to get involved in their argument. She looks at Pacey who waves it off.
"It's a long, long story."
"We've got 8 hours." Dawson says, making Pacey glare at the back of his head.
"This is gonna be so much fun. The four of us sitting around, doing nothing. Just like every other Saturday." Cola says, trying to make light of the mood. Jen nods, agreeing with her. They hear the door open and the librarian and someone else walk in. They hear that it's Abby Morgan and Pacey and Cola groan.
"Who's Abby Morgan?" Jen asks the two. Cola raises an eyebrow.
"You've never met Abby Morgan?" Dawson turns around and widens his eyes at his girlfriend.
"The girl is from hell...literally." They all hear her trying to argue with the librarian as to why she has detention.
"But, I could be outside doing good things for the Capeside community, like helping invalids or picking up litter, instead of wasting the day here," The brunette says. She then looks at the four people also in the library and purses her lips. "Great. It's howdy doody time." Dawson purses his lips also, going to take a seat across from Pacey.
