All of Cola's friends had told her about this new fortune teller that was at the film festival in Capeside. She had heard nothing but great things about her. She walked through the film festival alone. Dawson was on his own expedition, Andie and Pacey were together, Joey and Jack were trying to rebuild their friendship, Mark and Abby were finishing up some last minute things for the book, and she didn't know what Jen was doing through all of this. She came across the woman, seeing her beginning to pack up her things. At that moment, she considered turning around and going home, but she was determined to get this over with, so she walked over to her.

"Excuse me, ma'am. I hope I'm not interrupting you, I heard that you tell fortunes. I was wondering if you could tell me mine." She said, making her look up, scanning over the girl.

"You're friends with that Witter boy, correct? I was wondering when I would be seeing you here," She said, making her eyes widen. How did she know? "You're wondering how I know, aren't you? Well, you were in our conversation about futures. While I can't say exactly what I said, what I will say is that you need to let go of a specific boy in your life. One that you think you like, but you don't. There's a boy waiting for you. One that you know you need, but you're scared to tell him that. Keep that in mind. The boy you think you need is already pining after someone else, but the one that you know deep down that you need is needing you. The universe is simply waiting for the right time." Cola thought about her words, feeling tears come to her eyes.

"How will I know when it's the right time?" She asks, looking back up at the woman, who smiled softly at the girl, putting her hands on hers.

"Funny. That's the same question your friend asked. The answer is...you don't. You'll feel when it's the right time, my child. You need to build yourself up, think about what you need and want." She said, making Cola nod. She would be forever grateful for seeing her.

"How much do I owe you?" She asks, taking out her wallet. She quickly puts her hand over the girl's, shaking her head.

"Nothing at all. Just promise that you'll listen to me. I can see how much this is hurting you." She said, making Cola smile through the tears, thanking her before walking away, feeling better.
