CIEL'S P.O.V.
I let out a sigh as I filled out my paperwork. Work, boring as always. Lately things around the manor have been even more hectic. Last week, right after the drama with the article Elizabeth's mother began pestering me about the preparations for the wedding. At this rate I'm not even sure there is going to be a wedding.
"Young master," Sebastian entered the room. "Lady Elizabeth's mother is on the phone. She needs to speak to you, she sounds rather worried. Perhaps, it's urgent."
I raised an eyebrow in confusion. What could be happening? I haven't spoken to Elizabeth in nearly a month.. "Yes, yes, I'll be there in a moment,"
I left my desk then headed to the next room. With a small sigh, I picked up the phone. "Hello?" I said with a shaky voice. To be honest I'm worried.. What if she's calling to say Elizabeth wants to call off the wedding. Elizabeth and I have our problems, but she's special to me regardless of our mixed emotions.
"Hi. Ciel, is Elizabeth with you?" She questioned, her tone somewhere in between worried and angry. "I checked with a few of her friends, they haven't heard from her. I figured she was with you. She hasn't been home in a couple of days."
I felt as if someone punched me in the gut. Elizabeth, where the hell are you?
"No, I'm sorry she isn't with me. I haven't heard from her for almost a month, I'm sorry Mrs. Midford..." I replied honestly, biting my bottom lip. "I'll contact you if I hear anything."
"Oh... Well, thank you. Call me if you hear anything." Mrs. Midford hung up then, her voice having had broken at the end of her sentence.
My fiancée is missing... Gone. What if something happened to her? She hasn't been home in days! What if I never see her again? What if she's been hurt? Or kidnapped? Or worse?!?
Wait.... What if she's with Hantai? I know it's wrong of me to assume that, but what if she is? What if I pushed her into his arms? She's gone...
