a/n: above is her outfit for fp1 and fp2 day :)
** Dannie's pov **
I had been standing around in my bra and underwear for probably way too long as I was doing my hair and makeup, but there was absolutely no way that I was going to chance makeup getting on my all black outfit.
After trying to re-curl this one piece of hair that was just not laying right, and burning my fingertips for the millionth time, I sat down my curling iron. Making sure to yank the plug out of the wall, I walked towards my bed to start slipping on the chosen outfit for today.
With everything going on in the grid I didn't want to wear something that was going to be an inconvenience for me and the people around me. Also it just wasn't really my style to wear a lot of flashy clothing to public events.
Unless I was performing of course. Everything I did in my day-to-day life was completely thrown out of the window.
Anyways, the outfit that I had chosen was a simple longer black tube top, and a calf-length black skirt with a small slit coming up to my lower thigh. Wanting to be comfortable, as I was probably going to be walking around all day, I paired it with a pair of black small heels that kind of were like flip-flops.
Black was a very common color in my wardrobe. Just as I was sliding on the last shoe on my right foot there was a heavy knock on my hotel room door.
Straightening my posture and quickly making my way to open the door, "Hi!" I greeted the person on the other side.
Who I wasn't expecting was the lead driver himself Lando Norris to be standing on the other side of the door looking down at the floor. His head shot up when he heard the door opening and my voice, "Hi! I was told to come and pick you up today!" he exclaimed slightly.
The shock must've been evident on my face, and the fact that I was completely frozen, as he let out a light chuckle, "Sorry if I've scared you or something. I was just on my way back from grabbing something and they suggested that I pick you up on the way." Lando further explained.
"Okay, that made sense." I thought to myself.
Slightly shaking my head and clearing my throat, "Sorry, I-I wasn't expecting the Lando Norris to be knocking on my door. Especially when I look like this-" I trailed off towards the end as I fully noticed the state that I was in.
Multiple hairs were out of place and I was midway slipping on one of my shoes as I opened the door. Suitcases flung opened and clothes sprung around the entire room from me trying to find the perfect pieces of jewelry.
Lando immediately started to shake his head and waving his hand in the air, "No, no, please, you have never seen the room of a driver before. This is nothing." he spoke.
When he ended his sentence I could feel his eyes gaze over my body for a few seconds before he looked right back into my eyes, "Plus I think you look stunning." his voice seemed less confident than before.
It was cute. He was cute.
"Cut it out Dannie, you barely know the guy!" I yelled at myself in my head.
After a few more seconds of staring, I turned my head as the blush overcoming my cheeks from the compliment was definitely showing over my actual blush. Taking a step back and gesturing towards the mess of my room, "Let me just grab my purse and stuff and then we can go." I said with a small smile.
He just nodded his head and stood in the hallway with his hands crossed behind him. Sneaking a quick glance at him from over my shoulders I couldn't help but blush even more. I mean I couldn't help it. My celebrity crush was standing in the doorway of my hotel room for god's sake!
Breaking from my thoughts I grabbed one of the random black handbags I had stuffed in my suitcase, and threw in my phone, debit card, a powder puff and a touch up powder, and most importantly my ID.
I could probably fit more in there but I don't really think that I needed anything else.
As I was going towards the door I froze and turned back to my bed and grabbed a pair of sunglasses, before turning towards the man standing in the doorway still completely silent.
Once he saw that I was actually coming towards him with everything he thought a woman would need, he perked up and gestured down the hallway, "This way Miss Kim!" he lightly joked.
"Please just call me Dannie!" I hurried out being slightly louder than I intended to be.
He hummed while pressing the elevator button to take us down to the lobby, "Well Dannie let's hurry up and get to the track so I'm not late and get yelled at by the engineers." Lando told me with a slight smirk.

** third person **
When the well known McLaren pulled into the driver's parking area everyone crowded as much as they could to get a look at Lando arriving for the big race weekend. Though they were slightly confused why he was arriving so late compared to when he normally arrives for practice sessions.
But when he got out and rushed around to the other side of the sports car and opened the door, they were not expecting the person that came out.
Using the extended hand, Dannie Kim carefully stepped out of the car trying to not flash anybody from the slit in her skirt. From the laugh echoing through the parking lot it was clear that the two were getting along just fine and didn't seem to be complete strangers like they claimed.
They were a few steps away, with Lando guiding Dannie with a light hand on her mid back, before the girl turned around with wide eyes and placed her hand on top of her head. It wasn't obvious what she said, but it had left the two laughing before the Brit rushed back towards the passenger side of the car.
He came back quite quickly with a pair of black sunglasses in his hand before handing them to the girl. Sharing a few more laughs together they started their way towards the McLaren garage.
Neither of them would be expecting the articles that would be coming out about them after this weekend.
