** Lando's pov **

It was the week before the Last race of the season. Abu Dhabi. I was hanging out with some of the boys in Max's giant hotel room. We had been watching an Arsenal football game for the last hour. There was absolutely no talking in the room except for a few random comments from one of us about a certain play now and then.

You may be asking yourself, where is Dannie? Or really all of the girlfriends were out clubbing. They didn't want to sit and watch football or sit around one of the hotel rooms. I was extremely adamant on making sure that all of the girls knew that Dannie could not drink even a single drop of alcohol.

Right as the other team scored my phone started ringing from its position on the coffee table in front of the sofa I was sitting on. The name flashing on was "dan-bi :)".

There was nothing that should have been wrong but something just felt wrong. Why was she calling me if there wasn't anything wrong?

As soon as I answered the call and put it up to my ear, I heard heavy breathing for a few seconds with a mixture of the loud club music mixing in with the background. That was until Dannie finally started speaking, "H-hey Lo-love." her voice was groggy and she sounded extremely wheezy.

Something was wrong. Sitting up instantly from my spot on the couch I waved my hand around the air motioning for the volume to be turned down. Carlos reached for the remote and pressed the mute button whilst everyone else's attention fell back to me.

"Dannie? Dannie, what's wrong?" I hurried out.

Heavy breaths were heard once again, "I-I think the-uh bartender mixed up my drink." I listened as her words were getting more and more sluggish.

The bartender mixed up her drink. The bartender mixed up her drink. Oh no.

"Okay, okay, I will be there in ten minutes. Hold on, okay?" I rushed out with a slightly shaky voice.

This could not be happening right now. After being with Dannie for pretty much seven months, the one thing that I knew she absolutely could not consume was anything that contained alcohol. When I finished speaking the call was immediately hung up.

"Alex, call Lily and ask if she is with Dannie please?" I spoke.

By now all of the guys in the room were watching me with concerned eyes. They all knew that the girls were out clubbing. Charles was the first one to say anything, "Mate, what's going on?" his question was slow but full of concern.

Stopping my motions of slipping on my jacket, "Dannie thinks that the bartender mixed up her drink. I-I just need to get to the club. Do any of you guys have a rental or something?".

Oscar, Max, and Logan were the only ones who showed any sort of reaction. Logan, although quiet in these sort of hang outs perked up, "Is she okay? You can take my car if you want to, Man." his hand reached into his pocket and pulled out a pair of car keys.

I will have to get this man some tickets or something to whatever American thing he likes.

** third person pov **

Usually when the reporters followed a Formula 1 driver there was nothing that could stop them from getting their pictures or next stories. However when they saw the famous Lando Norris rushing towards a night club in a rental car they knew that there was something not normal. Of course they still took their pictures but stayed back on the other side of the street.

The driver practically sprinted inside the club barely sparing a glance to the door man trying to stop him. It only took the line of people telling him that he was a Formula 1 driver to stop trying to get his attention.

As soon as the man stepped inside the club it was clear that there was a slight crowd around the woman. He couldn't exactly tell what everyone was saying but it most definitely wasn't helpful to the crying Dannie.

Over the pain she felt in her body and the multiple people surrounding her, she saw the familiar curly head of hair practically sprinting towards her. He crouched down and put his hands on either side of her head, "Dannie, can you talk to me?" he spoke lightly.

When she nodded her head and then shook her head, Lando knew that he needed to get her home. He wrapped his arms around her and helped her out of the club and towards his car trying his best to not let her get photographed too much.

His heart was breaking at the way she was just sitting there clearly completely out of it. Her body just slouched in the seat and with her eyes closed like she was sleeping. As Lando was driving back to Dannie's place she perked up a little bit, "Can we just go home? I just want to sleep with your pillows." her voice trailed off as she slouched back down into the seat.

Home. Your pillows. The man's brain was complete mush at this point. She called his place home.

By the time that Lando had gotten Dannie back into his own hotel room and made sure that she had taken the correct medication, after a quick phone call to the girl's mother of course, it was an hour later. With him slowly closing the door behind him, Lando was now alone out in the middle of the hotel hallway.

"Is she okay?" A sudden voice sounded out from a couple doors down.

Looking over he saw Max coming out of his hotel room with a slightly raised brow. Sometimes the British driver forgot just how close the two actually were. Nodding his head with a heavy breath, "Yeah, she took her medicine so she should be fine in the morning with a good amount of rest." Lando explained the situation he just left.

Max Verstappen nodded his head as well, "That's good. I-uh talked to Kelly and she said the entire time you were heading there she wouldn't stop talking about you. Calling your place home." he watched his friend's lips twist into a small grin, "You two are pretty in love with each other aren't you?" he asked even if he knew the answer.

Any person who witnessed the two together could tell you that they loved each other wholeheartedly. Every time one of them walked into the room that the other was in a bright smile immediately took place on their face.

Lando nodded his head, "I think she's the one Max." he admitted softly.

Max barely heard him but he was able to piece it together quite quickly, "You would be stupid to think otherwise." a small chuckle escaped his lips.
