a/n: some big things going on in this chapter imo :)

Nothing had prepared Dannie for this moment.
About a week ago the singer had been scrolling through her business email where everything for her career got sent to when one in particular popped out to her. It was from Interscope Records. Something she had never expected.
Of course ever since the split with Columbia she had been putting in the work to try and get a deal with another label but so far everything proved unsuccessful.
Dannie had been trying to go for some of the smaller labels simply because she didn't want to overstep and ruin her reputation within the industry. Her reasoning didn't really make sense to Lando but no matter how hard he tried she wouldn't listen to him. That was until this very moment.
"Love!" Dannie's voice was slightly breaking as soon as she started yelling.
Lando dropped everything he was doing and ran towards the bedroom. Right as he crossed the threshold of the door a computer screen was being thrusted into his face. When he finished reading the heading of the email and who had sent it he busted out cheering.
For the rest of the night the two celebrated with just them. How they liked it.
But that got them to today.
Dannie was walking into a meeting with three of the representatives from Interscope and her brand new manager. He was very well known throughout the industry and managed many of her other friends. Thankfully in the conversation with Geri Horner she had recommended him and was more than willing to give him my contact information.
From their very brief amount of actual in-person contact he was a very nice person and seemed to understand her reservations with finding a new label.
"Hey James!" the singer greeted him with a light hug.
He responded respectfully before pulling away and smiling at her, "Dannie! Are you ready? I understand that this can be quite stressful." James said lightly.

** Dannie's pov **
Of course I was stressed out. Everything that I knew to be my life right now was going to be changing. Although my life was still very chaotic compared to most people, signing to a label would crazy everything back up again.
With the hope that everything went accordingly they would be picking up all of my released music and putting out promotions. Not to mention the amount of interviews or press tours that I would have to do to kind of cover up the drama of everything.
