** Dannie's pov **

Two, almost three hours had passed since Lando had hung up the call. I have heard absolutely nothing from him since then. Not a single text, nothing.

I had been lying in my bed with Pride and Prejudice playing on the tv mounted directly across from me. A once steamy mug of green tea was sitting on my bedside table along with a giant container of animal crackers. The movie was just about two thirds of the way in and I was getting way too excited to see the end.

Taking a slight deep breath I was ready to reach over and grab yet another handful of animal crackers when there was a loud knock on my door. I swear my heart almost stopped from the amount of shock that went coursing through my body.

Swinging my legs over the bed, I tried to hurry to the front door without completely slipping on the hardwood flooring.

Finally making it to the front door, I caught a glance of myself in the small mirror I had hung in the entryway of my apartment. I looked like a complete and utter mess. Stray hairs were popping out of the messy bun I had haphazardly thrown my hair into about an hour ago.

Right as I was about to let down my hair there was yet another loud knock echoing out through my apartment. Oh geez, I guess my hair will just have to do.

"What were you doing? You took so long to answer the door!" Lando announced with a playful pout sitting on his lips.

Lando was here. Literally standing in the doorway of my apartment with his signature bright smile.

"Are you just going to stare at me or are you going to let me in?" he questioned me once again.

Shaking my head a little bit, I opened the door wider for him to be able to squeeze through, "Sorry, I was just not expecting you to be here." I muttered embarrassed that I had been caught staring at him.

Once Lando was fully in my apartment he moved quickly towards the small kitchen that was tucked into the corner. It made me realize that he was carrying some type of take out bag in his hand. Leaning my body on the wall I watched as he easily made his way through my cabinets finding exactly what he needed.

How was he finding everything so easily was the first thought I had in my mind. But then it was quickly replaced by everything in this moment feeling so domestic.

"You like Chinese food right? I hope so because that is all that I got." the driver muttered while finally tearing open the bag and bringing out the take out containers.

What caught me off guard was the amount of spring rolls that he had pulled out of the bag. A small gasp escaped my mouth before I could stop it, "Why on earth do you have that many spring rolls?" I spoke through a laugh.
