** Lando's pov **

For the last two straight hours I had been waiting for a text from Max announcing that they had picked up Dannie. In just about an hour and a half the entirety of the grid was going to be doing something for Seb. He was raising awareness for bees and having an entire corner of the track dedicated to them.

Oscar was sitting directly across from me, along with my trainer Jon Malvern, in the McLaren hospitality center. Jon was sitting scrolling away on his phone whilst Oscar and I were talking about random racing things.

After another glance towards my phone screen, the young Australian sighed, "Dude, Lando, just relax a little bit alright?" he groaned and threw his back on the chair.

Tightening my lips together, "I can't help it okay? The quicker she gets here the quicker I can tell if she is actually okay or not." my words were rushed out as I ran a hand over my forehead.

Ever since I saw the first article I knew that I would need to see her in person to calm down. Over the past couple of months of me and Dannie being... whatever we are, something changed in me. Whenever I was worried or stressed out a single conversation with her would calm my nerves.

Seeing her bright and kind smile and hearing her soothing words and encouraging statements. Out of all of my relationships I had never felt like that with anyone before.

Hopefully if the results of this weekend went well I would officially ask her to be my girlfriend. There wasn't a doubt in my mind that would say no or reject me, but the immense amount of stress was still there.

Oscar grinned at me, "You're finally going to ask her out aren't you?" his voice wasn't teasing but actually encouraging.

That is when my trainer, Jon, finally looked up away from his phone and towards the both of us, "Finally!" his voice loudly echoed.

My hands were quick to shoot up and try to shush the slightly older man in front of me. The stares of walking by workers and staff members were becoming more and more aware. "Could you be any louder Jon?" I questioned pointedly.

"What?! You've been pining over this girl for months now mate! I'm just excited that you've finally found someone who makes you completely whipped." Jon's words were much quieter than before.

A blush was quick to find its way onto the high points of my face, "I'm not whipped." I quickly rambled out when I saw that the media team was waving us down to join the growing group of drivers.
