** Dannie's pov **

Walking into the grid with Lando leading me towards the McLaren garage was definitely a sight for everyone else in the surrounding area. At least I am assuming because everybody started staring at us the second that we walked in.

Just before we walked into the garage I noticed someone a couple of feet in front of me, "Wait is that Lily?" I whispered into Lando's ear.

When he looked down at me with a small smile, "Yeah, she's probably waiting for Alex, do you want to go say hi?" he asked me.

Hurriedly shaking my head, I pulled him in the direction of the busy garage, "Nope, I am way too nervous for that." I muttered, causing him to laugh at me.

"I have to go get ready for practice so I will leave you here. Maybe I-I could get your number later?" Lando slightly stumbled out.

This man was one of the most popular F1 drivers in the grid but yet still so nervous when asking somebody for their number. Smiling up at him and nodding my head, "Of course! Do you have your phone right now?" I said while reaching into my bag and pulling out my phone.

His actions were rushed as he reached into his sweatshirt pocket and pulled out his phone, before extending his arm out towards me with his phone, "Uh-yeah!" he spoke while we switched phones.

After I put in my information and saved my name as "dannie kim :)", I handed it back to him with a small smile.

Seeing over his shoulder a group of staff in neon orange McLaren shirts making their way towards their number-one driver. Giggling slightly I gestured towards the group, "You should probably get going. Your team looks like they're going to cut my head off for making you late." I spoke.

Lando turned his head and chuckled, "They wouldn't lay a hand on you with me around. Trust me." he said while turning and looking men directly in the eyes. "But uh- I will text you after practice tonight!" he announced while backing up before turning and running towards the staff members.

As he disappeared behind a corner and seemingly started getting ready for practice today I sighed, "Looks like I am all alone now." I thought to myself.

** time skip **

The day was officially over for the drivers. Both practice sessions had gone relatively well for McLaren Brit. Sadly not so much for the younger Australian, having almost been last in the rankings.

It was sad to see him getting out of the car with a disappointed gaze in his eyes. Around five minutes ago the same woman who had picked me up from the airport came over and offered to take me back to my hotel, but I declined, wanting to take a nice relaxing walk back by myself.
