I closed my eyes, trying to sense my mothers presence through the force. I was either not attuned enough, or she wasn't here.

"Master.." I whispered. "I can't sense her."

I tried to speak in secrecy, so Jado wouldn't catch on.

"It's been a while since you seen her." He said. "Have faith."

I nodded, the realization had just came to me. I could barely remember my mothers face, if it weren't for the visions I wouldn't be able to tell her apart from a stranger.

"Have you seen Iyana?" I heard Jado ask a woman.

She spoke a language I haven't heard before. Jado responded back to her, his accent a bit weaker than hers, but I imagine it got the point across.

"What did she say?" I asked.

"He basically said, she never heard of her. She just got to this camp a few weeks ago."

"We should probably split up, and meet back here in an hour." Jado said.

"No way. I don't trust you to come back." Master said.

"Calm down old man, how about Shmi comes along with me."

Master shook his head.

"Okay then you come along with me, and Shmi can look around by herself."

Master looked at me and looked back Jado.

"In one hour." He held out a finger. "I want you back here, with or without him." He said sternly.

"Yes Father." I rolled my eyes.

"We'll take this way." Jado said.

"You better not be playing us." I whispered to him threatening.

"Now what type of person do you think I am?" He fake pouted.

"A scoundrel looking for some quick credits."

"Some harsh words coming from a Jedi."

"Yeah whatever—what!?" I stood dead in my tracks.

He continued walking. He turned around to face me.

"I hope you didn't think I would put the pieces together." He smirked. "Yknow, with the robes and all. All that proper language too. Not very traveler of you."

I honestly didn't know what to say.

"Don't worry, I'm trusting you Jedi are honest and will pay me back for my generosity." He laughed.

I rolled my eyes and followed behind him.

"Utapali my man!" Jado shook hands with a gungan, who happened to be sitting around on a chair.

I stood back watching.

"Jado! Meesa ben missin you!" The Gungan, Utapali hugged him. "Whosa dis?" He pointed at me.

"A friend." Jado smiled. "You got any news for me on Iyana?"

"Nuh-uh, meesa hasn't heard anything about her."

Jado sighed. "Thanks, we're tryna get down to this."

"Bessa luck to yous!" He waved us off.

"You sure know your way around." I said.

"Who wouldn't?" He shrugged.

"Are all these people slaves?" I asked.

"Most are."

"Are you a slave?"

He turned around and looked at me, getting closer.

"Why? You wanna buy me?" He asked, I had no idea if he was serious.
