"So, do either of you wanna tell me what the hell happened?"
"Oh you know, a car crash, nothing too serious." Dazai waved a hand in the air, acting as though nothing happened.
I let out a sigh from his response, turning to the other male, eyebrow raised. "Well?"
"Dazai here contacted me, to talk about the Guild." I watched as my father pushed up his glasses, closing his eyes. "Then out of nowhere, a car rammed into the side of my car."
I leaned my head back, staring up at the ceiling as I processed the past few minutes.
...
I woke up with a groan, leaning up in the head. Glancing around, I saw that I was back at the Agency's infirmary.
"Good, you're awake." I turned to see Yosano, who gave me a smile. "Though your injuries weren't too bad, the blood loss had you out for a while."
I began to remember everything that transpired at the train station, causing me to widen my eyes. "And the others? Are they all okay?"
"Haruna and Naomi are shaken up, but fine." Yosano started, listing off her fingers as she answered. "Atsushi just left to go look for Dazai who said he had something to do."
I nodded my head, feeling relieved, before worry took over. "How is Atsushi... handling everything?" I locked my gaze with hers. "He isn't blaming himself is he?"
She let out a sigh of her own, crossing her arms. "You know how he is... He always puts the blame on himse-."
Yosano was cut off by my phone ringing. Confused, on how my phone was fixed, I pushed the question aside and reached out for it. I glanced at the caller ID, not recognizing it.
Even more puzzled than before, I decided to take the call as I hit the answer button, bringing the phone up to my ear. "Hello?"
I listened to the voice on the other line, my eyes widening. "Uh... yeah, I'll be on my way..." I trailed off, staring into space as I hung up the phone. I stared down at the phone as I processed what I had been told, as the shock began to hit me.
"What's going on?" Yosano asked, picking up on the worry on my face.
Alarms rang off in my head as I felt my heart stop. Not wasting another second, I sprang up from the bed, grabbing my personal items and throwing my shoes on, hastily. "I need to go!"
"(Y/N), what's going on?" Yosano asked, calling out from the door frame as I rushed down the halls.
"My father's in the hospital!"
...
"Honestly..." I took a heavy intake of breath glancing back to my father, who sported a neck brace, before glancing over to Dazai's cast on his arm.
I pondered for a moment before glancing up to meet his gaze. "So what now?"
"Based on what I could gather, the Guild has gained custody of Q, which isn't good at all." Dazai replied, a ominous tone in his voice.
"Q?" I tilted my head, confused. "Who's Q?"
"Oh, right-" Dazai said, realization plastered on his face. "He was the child that controlled Atsushi back at the station earlier."
I recalled back to the child, tempering the malicious aura that surrounded him. "I see. What would the Guild want with him?"
"It's his ability no doubt." My father spoke up, opening his eyes.
