"So if it wasn't Francis that sold us out... who was it?" I asked as I glanced down to the woman on the gurney, Francis' wife, Margret.
From what Atsushi told us just now, he would've done it after Margret received Yosano's treatment, so he couldn't have been the one.
"I think we should get out of here now." Atsushi spoke up, glancing at the two in the front of the ambulance. "Listen driver, we're gonna-"
Hearing Atsushi stop, I glanced up in confusion before my eyes widened. The two were dead, the driver having a sword through his neck. That sword... it can't be.
Atsushi quickly spun around to the three of us. "It's an ambush! Everybody get out!"
Yosano was quick to slam the back doors open, stopping as we seen the hooded figure ahead of us. I stood behind her as we watched a sword come beside him, blood fresh on the blade.
He killed the two men without us even knowing... Yosano jumped out of the ambulance, staring ahead at the enemy. "Go Atsushi. I'm gonna deal with this guy by myself. (Y/N), go with them."
"Don't do it. The three of us together might stand a better chance of beating him than just you." Atsushi exclaimed.
"Winning isn't what's important right now." Yosano called back to him. "What's important is protecting Margret. I already treated her. Deliver her to Francis before the Military Police have a chance to close the roads. That's our only hope to revive the Armed Detective Agency. Believe me."
"Get in. I'm gonna drive." Kyouka rushed to the front before I had a chance to stop her.
Knowing this wasn't the time to be picky about who drove, I glanced over to Atsushi. "Trust Yosano."
"Don't worry about me." Yosano spoke up once more. "I've never been very good at dying." She smirked, assuring Atsushi.
"Yosano... please be careful." Atsushi said before I closed the doors, nodding to Kyouka to start driving.
"So where to now...?" I asked, glancing between the two.
...
I let out a yelp as we crashed to the ground below, rubbing my back as I sat up. "A little warning would've been nice, Kyouka."
"Sorry, but it was the only way." She replied as she glanced at Atsushi, who was getting a face full of dirt. "You okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine." He mumbled as he still had his face on the slab of concrete we were on.
Kyouka and I began to look at Mushitaro, who was in the room with us as he began to shout, kneeling in front of the locked cell door and waving his arms frantically.
"We're here to help you." Atsushi spoke up, now sitting up. "We're from the Armed Detective Agency."
Mushitaro stopped, lowering his arms as he turned to look at us. "That so?"
Nodding, the three of us stood up. "Here's what happened. The Decay of Angels framed the Detective Agency. While you were trying to warn us about their trap, the enemy captured you. We used the Eyes of God to find you, so that we can get you out of here."
"We should probably hurry this up." I glanced over to Atsushi. "Someone would've heard that crash we caused."
"Kyouka." Atsushi turned to her, realizing I was right. "Have you dealt with the guards?"
"Demon Snow knocked them out cold." She replied bluntly.
"Okay, never mind then." I let out a hum, impressed at her quick thinking.
