I was awoken by the smell of food and the sound of dishes clanking every so often. Curious, I got out of the bed and made my way out of the bedroom. As I walked down the hallway, the smell of food got stronger, causing my stomach to rumble.
Coming into the living room, I glanced over to the kitchen and saw none other than Dazai standing at the stove, preparing food. I tilted my head in confusion when I remembered that I wasn't in my own home.
I felt my face flush in embarrassment. How could I forget that? I asked myself, dumbfounded how my hunger distracted me from my surroundings. Shaking my head, I finally walked over to the counter, leaning my arms on top of it.
"Look who finally woke up." Dazai spoke up suddenly, not even tearing his gaze from the task in front of him.
How'd he hear me? I will forever be amazed by the man's perception and awareness of his surroundings. "Haha, very funny." I rolled my eyes before raising an eyebrow. "What are you doing?"
"Well, seeing as you are a guest, I figured I should make breakfast." Dazai replied, causing me to hum in reply.
I watched for a few moments as I watched him cook. Dazai turned the stove off, moved around and grabbed some dishes. "Do you cook often?" I asked, wanting to know more about the bandaged man.
Dazai turned to me, giving me a smirk. "Nope." He went back to serving the food.
I stared at him, sweat dropping as he placed it in front of me. "Should I be worried..." I trailed off, glancing from the food to him.
"Oh come on, it can't be that bad." Dazai rolled his eyes, motioning for me to try it.
I raised an eyebrow at him. "You didn't poison it, did you?" I teased.
Dazai dramatically placed a hand on his chest, a look of mock disbelief on his face. "You think I would poison you? I couldn't call myself your bodyguard if I went and poisoned you, now could I?"
I smirked, picking up the fork. "Touché." Not letting myself debate anymore, I took a bite, eyes widening as I ate it.
"It's bad, isn't it?" Dazai stated, trying to gage my reaction.
I shook my head, glancing over to him. "It's surprisingly good." I told him, going back in for another bite. As we continued eating, I changed the subject. "So what's on the agenda today, oh trusted bodyguard of mine?"
"Don't you have to go to the Special Operations for those tests?" Dazai asked, as he finished eating.
I leaned back in the seat, letting out a sigh. "I don't feel like it today. Besides, I'm in no rush to get it done."
Dazai let out a hum, getting up and taking the dishes to the sink. "So what do you want to do then?"
Unsure, I pondered for a moment, biting my thumb nail in concentration. An idea suddenly crossed my mind, causing me to jump up out of my seat. "I know just the thing!"
Dazai glanced at me. "What's that?"
I grinned at him, spinning around and walking over to the door. "You'll just have to see, come on!" Looking back, I saw Dazai raise an eyebrow, smirking. "What?"
"You gonna go dressed like that?" Dazai said, amused as he leaned against the counter.
Confused, I furrowed my eyebrows together, looking down at what I was wearing. I now understood the amusement as I saw I was only wearing the shirt Dazai gave me last night.
