"Ow, ow, ow, ow," Taehyung muttered as he tried for the umpteenth time to extract his tail from under the debris that was the cabin.

Shortly after Jeongguk and that human left them (he hated even thinking about that) and the electricity was turned out, a wave almost the same height as the ship crashed on them and they whooshed out of the cabin, and that's how Taehyung found himself crushed under chunks of the ship along with the other humans.

Taehyung wiggled out from under the litter with more determination to get away from the close range of the humans rather than actual pain. If those creatures had any plans for him, he knew pieces of metal and wood on top of him would be the least of his problems.

The shorter male human crawled out first, holding his hand out for the others, "Are you all okay?!"

"Yeah, of course," Taehyung grumbled, "I love the feeling of a ship exploding over me!"

Then it hit him. He was reminded of the threatening darkness that towered over them. He remembered thinking it was a cloud before having his lights smashed out by the force with which the biggest wave of all hit them. How they fell right out of the crushed cabin onto the deck, the debris following them with the same vigour. The ship gave a huge jerk again that made him nauseous, and he sensed a rumbling from the lower chambers, right where Jeongguk and the human were.

Tails were something tigers held high with pride and arrogance, not something to get stuck under broken pieces of glass and wood and hinder them from getting actual action done. Like how his was doing right now.

A small part of his brain warned him of the ship that was floating through the angry sea unsupervised. That part of his brain grew as another wave hit them. He ducked, his tail painfully straining as he narrowly escaped as the top pile of debris came tumbling over his head. "You. Go look after the ship. I'll rip your head off if another part of the ship breaks,"

The shorter male blanched at him, having succeeded in dragging the taller male out and was trying to remove the mountain of ship cabin remains from the female, "But--"

He fell flat on his nose as Pluto slapped them with another tide. Taehyung slashed wildly as debris made its way over himself again.

"Go. I'll try not to eat them until then," he hissed as his tail, which had almost been freed, found itself under the pile again. He was becoming aware of the throbbing pain near his knee. There was no way he could have made his way out of that crash unscathed.

The Earthian did not look assured at his statement, something Taehyung didn't understand. He was sure it was a good bargain. Either way, he still rushed out to the wheel, trying to dodge the incoming batch of surges.

Yes! He thought as his stripped tail finally came through. He slashed wildly at the debris that crushed the other human, more for letting off his frustration than the desire to help the humans. Either way, the short female managed to crawl through, looking battered and ready to faint but alive.

The other male didn't look any better. Curse their frail human bodies. "Dha oddersh," the human spoke through a mouthful of red human blood.

He spat (Jeongguk would have hated it), then pointed downwards. Taehyung's head swayed as he remembered again, that Jeongguk was still stuck down there with that human, in the lower chambers that were the most prone to flood with water.

Taehyung knew this mission was going to burn in Pluto's core.

He willed himself to turn into his animal, but he needn't have bothered. As if on cue, the two crawled out of the electric chambers, battered and bruised.
