"...hyung?"

Jeongguk stared at the wild-eyed hybrid that once was his friend, dodging another glass coming his way. Taehyung was standing, albeit weirdly, his eyes unfocused and teeth bared.

Jeongguk took a stupid step towards the other, opening his mouth to yell at him, only to hastily retreat when Taehyung roared and threw the plate he was eating from at him.

"Shit." Jeongguk muttered as the sick stench of fish hit his nose, "Oh, man. What do I--"

Should he knock him out? Or should he find a gap and escape? As if knowing what he was thinking, Taehyung snarled and tried to run at him. Jeongguk squawked and quickly stepped to the side. Taehyung was not that fast.

His feet stumbled over each other as if they lacked practice. He comically crashed against the wall and fell.

On any other day, Jeongguk would have given himself a stomach ache by cackling. Now, however, he couldn't think of any words to mock him.

"Tae...hyung...?" He took two steps to the unmoving man on the floor, then hesitated. This guy... it seemed too early to watch him lose his mind like that. He warily stretched out his arm and poked the unconscious man.

"Hyung--" The air was sucked out of his lungs as horror filled him. Taehyung wasn't breathing.

"Taehyung!" Jeongguk shouted and slapped the other across the face.

His head simply lolled to the side at the impact, causing panic to fill Jeongguk's chest. He slapped him again before lifting his chin to allow for airflow. No response. He clasped his hands together and placed them on the centre of his chest. One... two... three... four... ten compressions and the bastard still wasn't breathing.

"Kim Taehyung." Jeongguk gasped at the eleventh compression, "Don't let it be because of bonking into a wall, you stupid striped ass!"

Fifteen, sixteen, seventeen compressions... and there was the sound of gasping.

'Finally!'

"Hello? You hear me?" Jeongguk called as he removed his palms from the other. Taehyung gasped as if desperate to get air into his system. Jeongguk pushed himself off his knees and sat on the floor next to him tiredly and waited for him to recover his breath.

It took longer than Jeongguk would like for Taehyung to blink open his eyes. He hovered warily as the other's irises moved. Taehyung was slow with his uptake. He blinked at the ceiling before raising his palm to his head.

"Hey." Jeongguk pushed himself back on his knees, "Are you..." he didn't want to ask if he was okay.

Taehyung flinched rapidly, jerking his head in the other's direction as if seeing him for the first time. Just as his eyes widened, the lights flickered. The floor jerked so forcefully that Jeongguk had to support himself with his palm.

What...

He hadn't noticed just how bad the weather had got in his panic. The clouds that were only floating by were looming over the ship now, darkening the already dark evening. There was a flash and the booming sound of thunder was heard as the windows were thrown open, bringing the howling wind with it.

The sound of glass shattering was heard as the ship gave a jerk so sharp it brought the glass to the floor. The sound brought Jeongguk back to his surroundings.

"Hyung--" Jeongguk whipped around, "Get up. We'll have to wait out the storm somewhere else-- hyung?"

His eyes widened when he couldn't find Taehyung. He was going to call again when--
