"I'm NOT going to be looking after them until we hear from the other clans! Absolutely NOT!"

"Jeongguk," the Head said cajolingly to the younger, "While I agree that spending time these-" he shot the team of humans a nasty look, "--might not be your priority, please look at it from a wider point of view."

"Wider point of view? You are the head here, a thousand times wiser than me, I might add. It would make more sense if it were you who kept an eye on them!"

"The feline epidemic is taking up enough time of my day. You, however, aren't suffering from a shortage of free time. And I'm not asking you to take them to your house!" he added quickly.

"Well, that's a given," Jeongguk muttered mutinously.

"Honestly, we can't punish them brutally without the other clans' consent. So no killing or torturing here. But, for all we know, they could be a threat to all the other people out there, so the most were can do is keep them out of the public's reach, lock them in a room or whatever. So I'll provide the room--I know an old depository no one uses- and all you have to do, boy, is guard it. As simple as that!"

Jeongguk's face was an indicator enough to let the humans know that no, this situation was far from 'As simple as that!'

So the next thing they knew, they were being ushered out hastily, with the Head carefully not touching them ("Jeongguk, are you sure their skin is not venomous?"). The moment they were back under the bright Proxima, the rabbit man erupted into swear words.

His selective suggestions on exactly where could The Head stick his teeth up were promptly interrupted by the older rabbit hybrid shouting from his window, "You've never disappointed me before, my boy, don't let me see you acting irresponsible!"

"I won't." Jeongguk yelled back before turning away, "Let you see..." he added darkly to himself once he knew they were out of hearing range, much to the fright of the humans.

They wisely kept quiet, half of them not knowing what to say, half of them too scared to say anything. The team of four glanced at one another in perturbation, jumping collectively once Jeongguk's shouts entered their ears.

"Are you lot gonna come with me at all, or are you planning on gaping at each other until next week?!"

Yumi quickly pulled her teammates with her. The taller woman couldn't help but be slightly wary of the bounce in her step. This was going to need some getting used to.

As they walked, the rabbit man crept up behind them and in one quick span, bound their wrists together from behind with a strong vine.

"Sorry," he said coolly, not sounding all that sorry, "But I don't trust you at all."

It took probably only five minutes to reach the worn-down storehouse but to the panicking humans, it seemed like hours. They hardly had time to examine the outer look of the cabin before they were quickly ushered in there.

"We won't take your presence kindly, but the carnivores won't think twice about killing you," he alerted them as his pale fingers fiddled with the binding, untieing them.

"So unless you would like to get consumed by them, I suggest you not act foolish here. Trying to break out is useless too, I might add."

They nodded shakily under his scowl, too terrified to do anything else.

"There is a bowl that way, so don't mess this room up with your business," he said, jerking his head toward the door across the room.

"I'm going to lock the door, so passersby won't think this place is occupied. And also because," he placed one palm against the cold door handle, veering around, "You can never tell with your kind,"
