"Long before the birth of light, there was darkness. And from that darkness came the Dark Elves. Millennia ago, the most ruthless of them, Malekith sought to transform our universe back into one of eternal night. Such evil was possible through the power of the Aether, an ancient force of infinite destruction. The noble armies of Asgard, led by my father, King Bor, waged a mighty war against these creatures. As the Nine Worlds converged above him, Malekith could at least unleash the Aether. But Asgard ripped the weapon from his grasp. Without it, the Dark Elves fell. With the battle all but lost, Malekith sacrificed his own people in a desperate attempt to lay waste to Asgard's army. Their deaths will mean our survival. This war is far from over. Malekith was vanquished and the Aether was no more. Or so we were led to believe."

The sound of chains clicked together. Loki was slowly being dragged through the thrown room towards Odin, who sitting high upon his gold thrown, by the guards of the castle. Chains clipped around his wrists, ankles and neck.

The gold room was dark. Almost no sun shone into the golden room. It was very different from when Thor was meant to be crowned as King. More depressing. Athlaia stood next to her mother, as they watched Loki slowly step forward. The young princess wore a long black dress, that dragged along the floor. The dress was tight around her chest, pushing against her breast, it had a small 'v' neck and long, loose black sleeves with silver sparkles on the shoulders. On top of her silky black hair sat her black and gold tiara, her hair curly and pulled back out of her face, gracefully falling down her back.

After the events in New York, Athalia looked more tired. She was still sad, not because her brother had died, but because of his actions she knew he'd spend the rest of his days in the dungeons. Loki's actions may have been unspeakable, unforgiving, criminal, but she still loved him. She was his twin.

"Loki," Frigga's voice called out as the god came in line with his mother. He looked over at the two girls.

"Hello, Mother." He titled his head, "Have I made you proud?" He asked.

"Please, don't make this worse." their mother pleaded, a worried expression on her face. "Please..."

Loki looked back at the guards before replying to his mother, "Define 'worse',"

"Enough!" Odin's voice boomed through the room. Making the goddess of magic flinch. Her mother, the loving, caring soul she was took notice of her action. Reaching for her daughter's hand in comfort. "I will speak to the prisoner alone."

Athalia moved from her spot, acting as if she was going to leave the room but instead, she hid behind a large pillar built in the room. Frigga gave the black-haired girl a look. To which the goddess replied, "Please, I need to know what happens." She begged quietly, her voice only just above a whisper.

When the two men thought they were alone, Loki took a few steps forward, bringing himself closer to his father. His chains bashing back and forth against each other as he moved.

Her twin laughed, again looking back at the many guards. "I really don't see what all the fuss is about."

"Do you not truly feel the gravity of your crimes?" Odin spoke. His face shadowed. "Wherever you go, there is war, ruin, and death."

"I went down to Midgard to rule the people of Earth as a benevolent god," Loki replied, he smirked. "Just like you."

"We are not gods. We are born, we live, we die. Just as humans do."

"Give or take 5,000 years," Loki added.

"All this because Loki desires a throne." Odin's words burned light hot flames as they rolled off his tongue. The Allfather shot daggers at the young princes with his stare. Rage filled his one good eye.

"It is my birthright," Loki replied quickly.

Odin leaned forward in his chair, "Your birthright was to die- as a child." The Allfather's words hit Athalia where it hurt. She felt her heart drop, as the topic of the two twins being taken at birth was brought up again. Reminding her that the love he'd shown her as a young child was a lie. "Cast out onto a frozen rock. If I had not taken you in, you would not be here now to hate me."

"If I am for the axe, then for mercy's sake, just swing it," Loki replied coldly. "It's not that I don't love our little talks, it's just...I don't love them."

"Frigga and Athalia are the only reasons you're still alive, and you will never see them again," Odin replied, calmly. Sending a shiver down Athalia's spin. She knew what was coming next, "You will spend the rest of your days in the dungeons." he said.

Loki took a few steps back, "And what of Thor?" they asked, "You'll make the witless oaf king while I rot in chains."

"Your sibling must strive to undo the damage you have done. They will bring order to the Nine Realms and then, yes... Thor will be King."
