Indian Ocean
Everyone broke off into different parts of the jet, grabbing things they needed for their departure onto the boat. Athalia grabbed one of the coms that Natasha had handed to her and put it inside her ear. She thought it was strange, the small device, but also useful. In most battles she's been a part of, it was every Asgardian for themself, she wasn't used to team missions, or team missions with someone claim and controlled leading them, like Steve, typically it was Thor, leading them into more danger without thinking of consequence.
"Secure channel seven," Steve said.
"Seven secure," Nat replied. "Did you do anything fun Saturday night?" she asked Steve as she collected her weapons. Athalia had a small dagger appear in her hand, flipping it in the air and then catching it and making it disappear again.
"Well, all the guys from my barbershop quartet are dead, so, no, not really," Steve replied as he put on his earpiece.
"Coming up on the drop zone, Cap." a male's voice came through the earpiece speaker. Steve hit a red button that opened the back door of the jet. The air started to circulate in the room faster.
"What's a 'barbershop quartet'?" Athalia asked Nat as she moved towards the opening door. Nat smiled, shaking her head at the lack of earth things Athalia knew.
"Don't worry, Thalia. It's nothing important." Nat tells the princess. Athalia nods her head, getting ready to jump after Steve, out of the jet. "You know, if you ask Kristen out, from Statistics, she'd probably say yes."
Steve finished putting on his helmet. "That's why I don't ask."
"Too shy, or too scared?" Nat teased, a playful smirk on her face.
"Too busy!" Steve yelled over his shoulder right before he jumped out of the jet.
Athalia rolled her eyes. "That means, 'too scared'," Athalia told Natasha. She then followed after Steve. She jumped out of the jet, falling through the air. The closer to the ocean she got, the faster she moved in the air. She could see the shimmer of Cap's shield from the moonlight behind her.
Turning her body, she went feet first, crashing into the water next to the ship. A stupid idea really, why couldn't she just land on the ship? It was all a part of Steve's plan. She couldn't see him anymore when they landed in the water, but she felt someone grab her hand and swim them over to the anchor of the ship. Silently, they climbed the anchor, jumping over the side of the ship onto the deck.
Steve grabbed a guy and held them in a headlock until they lost consciousness. "That was so unnecessary," Athalia said, magically drying herself from the seawater. "I could have dropped us on the dock."
"They would have seen us coming," Steve replied, his voice quiet. He glanced around a corner and saw another pirate holding a gun.
"Oh, and they were less likely to see us coming when we fell through the sky?" Athalia ducked around the corner, past Steve, knocking the pirate off his feet as she swung her leg under his. Dropping the gun and falling to the floor, Athalia picked the guy up by the collar of his shirt and when he tried to attack back, she shoved him over the side of the boat.
Running around the ship, Steve and Athalia found more pirates. Steve kicked one in the chest, sending him into the ocean below. Athalia used the gun she'd taken from the other pirate to hit another in the face with one end and another with the opposite end, knocking them both out.
As they continued to run along the outline of the ship, Steve and Athalia easily overpowered the pirates. Their poor attempts to attack the enhanced individuals ended very quickly, with most of them landing in the ocean, or lying unconscious on the ship deck. One pirate pulled a knife on Steve which he ripped from his grip and threw it into the hand of another pirate to stop him from setting off an alarm.
Athalia jumped down a level, leaving Steve to deal with those pirates while she settled with some more. She jumped on one of their backs, flipping them over so his back slammed into the ground. While still holding them in a headlock with her legs, Athalia grabbed one of the others by his ankle, as he lunged toward her. Using her godly strength, she easily pulled him to the ground. A loud thud followed as his head knocked against the hard ground.
When she jumped back onto her feet, a strong, tense arm wrapped around her neck. Athalia threw her head back, breaking the guy's nose, and shoved her elbow into his stomach. When he stumbled back, Athalia managed to duck out of the loose grip now around her neck. Spinning around quickly, she kicked the same guy in the stomach, sending him over the edge of the railing.
By this time, Steve had joined Athalia again. He threw his shield at another guy with a gun as he jumped over the railing, to the same level Athalia was on. Two guys came racing towards them, picking one each, Athalia grabbed the guy closer to her and twisted his arm behind his back. Using her other hand she took the back of his neck and threw him down a level as she had done the last guy.
The sound of a gun clicked behind them. "Don't move," the guy had yelled. Rumlow, who had landed on the dock near them, shot the guy from afar.
Steve turned to the agent. "Thanks,"
"Yeah. You two seemed pretty helpless without me."
Nat landed close to them, removing her parachute as Steve placed his shield back on his back. "What about the nurse that lives across the hall from you? She seems kind of nice." Nat asked Steve, carrying on their conversation from on the jet.
"Secure the engine room, then find me a date."
"I'm multi-tasking." Nat said, gracefully jumping down to the next level. Athalia stuck by Steve as per his orders on the jet. Instead of slowly down, and using the stairs, Steve used his enhanced abilities to bounce off the ground, and off the walls of the ship, pushing himself up levels. Athalia took the easier approach and lifted herself off the ground with her telekinesis. Purple whips wrapped around her waist, lifting her from the ground.
With her back pressed against a wall, Athalia watched Steve gripping onto the railing. He shot a small, microphone-type device and when it stuck to the window, they could hear talking in their airpiece.
"I don't like waiting. Call Durand." A guy spoke in French. "I want this ship ready to move when the ransom comes." The mumbled sound of someone else replying to the man followed his orders. "Start the engines." the man spoke again. Steve joined Athalia, his back pressed against the wall, moving in the shadows so he wouldn't get noticed by the people in the upstairs window.
"Targets acquired."
"S.T.R.I.K.E in position,"
"Natasha, what's your status?" Steve asked. After a few seconds of no response, Steve spoke again. "Status, Natasha."
"Hang on!" Natasha's voice spoke finally. They waited for her update. Athalia heard light footsteps from around the corner, behind her. Looking around, she saw a pirate, gun in hand, unharmed in any way, slowly walking towards them. Athalia moved to fingers, making the man drop the gun he held. Pointing those fingers in a different direction she picked up the guy and threw him off the side of the boat. "Engine room secure," Nat said when Athalia heard a loud splash in the water.
"On my mark," Steve spoke, "Three... Two.. One."
