The next step Athalia took sent her to Earth

The next step Athalia took sent her to Earth. It was dark, extremely dark outside. One single light in the distance, on the back of three warehouse buildings, was the only thing that lit up the area.

The three continued walking as if nothing had happened, walking over to Jane's car that was left behind with shattered glass windows. Jane and Thor sat themselves in the front seats, while Athalia slipped into the middle of the back row.

There was an awkward pause of silence as Janes attempted to start the car. Thor broke that silence, "So, who's Richard?"

The car engine started when Jane looked at him questionably, "Really?" She asked as the car rolled backward. The conversation was left at that. Jane started driving, the car tires making a painful screeching noise as it drove.

Everyone hopped out of the car once they arrived at the place Jane had brought them. After walking up a flight of stairs, and Jane's frustration trying to unlock the door, Athalia heard Darcy's voice.

"Jane! You can't just leave like that." Darcy said, you could hear the annoyance in her tone. The two Asgardian siblings looked around the room, Thor hung his hammer up on a coat rack and Athalia finally cleaned the blood off her clothes. "The whole world is going crazy. All the stuff we saw is spreading. Did you go to a party?" She asked seeing Jane's outfit.

"Erik?" Jane spoke, seeing the older man in the corner in front of a computer screen. He looked excited to see her.

"Jane! How wonderful." He said, rising from his seat. The two hugged. "You've been to Asgard!" He exclaimed looking up and down at her dress.

"Where are your pants?"

"Oh, he, uh... He says it helps him think." A new guy explained. Athalia raised an eyebrow. Who the hell is he? He wasn't around the last time they were together on Earth. He looked over at the two gods, giving them a nervous wave. Athalia just nodded her head at him.

'Tiny Man...' Athalia thought to herself as she noticed how much shorter he was compared to her. Then again, most Midgarians were shorter than her.

"Okay, well, I'm going to need everything you got on this." Jane told Selvig, "All the work you've been doing on gravimetric anomalies, everything."

The man nodded his head, "Okay." he said as Jane walked past him.

"Are you well, Erik?" Thor asked. Erik turned around, finally noticing the two siblings. He held his arms out excitedly, a happy look on his face.

The face dropped, "Your brother's not coming, is he?" Erik asked.

Athalia shook her head, "Loki is dead." Admitting it out loud was harder than admitting it to herself. Her words were slow as if she was only understanding it for the first time and was repeating what the universe had just told her.

"Oh, thank God!" Erik said. Both Thor and Athalia raised an eyebrow at his choice of reaction. Once he realized what he'd said, Erik was quiet to correct himself and apologize. "I meant, I'm so sorry."
